@LacksPoP @AllenKessler But you forgot to invest the payments to compare your number to. Same 4% investing each payment when they come in ($60505) is worth more ($1.874 million) in your same 20 years from now dollars. (No tax in both our examples).
@papapelto@AllenKessler Sorry didn’t tax the payments as you taxes in the lump sum. Presumably Allen would have an easier time writing off $60k per year, but with nominal fed taxes, it’s $2m 7% or $3m 10%. Assumptions are everything. Not advocating one way or the other as they are pretty equal.
@papapelto@AllenKessler Investing each payment is more after 20 years. 2.5 million at 7%, 3.5 million at 10%, depends on timing of payment stream, but at normal interest rates it’s more regardless if we compare apples to apples.
@Mr_Galt@AllenKessler With same assumption, future value of investment payments is higher than lump sum. Each payment is invested for 20
Years then 19 then 18. Calculate the future value. Likely lower total taxes too but you’d have to calculate the PV of the future tax rates which are hard to predict
@Hartfordland@AllenKessler This is not correct comparison. You’d have to compare investing the 60,505 each year as well. $60505 is invested for 20 years, 60505 for 19 years, 18 years etc. to compare to your quick math. How much is this at your 8% market return? $2.969 million, almost 50% more
@yaboiijimothy@AllenKessler This is not correct. You calculated the money needed today to be worth 1.2 million in 20 years. They are paying an installment today and every year for 19 addl years. Or for simplicity, 20 cash flow pymts. At 12.5% to 14.5% discount rate, the payment streams are identical.
@fpnotes @RealKidPoker@IBurchell Wtf are you talking about. House makes the exact same margin regardless of chop. They do slightly better with a chop cause less labor costs
@Ali_Nejad@NickSchulman the best in the business by far, but please Ali stop saying the difference between bubble and min cash is last place money plus the buy in. Min cash and bubble both pay the buy in. Surprised out man from NY hasn’t corrected
@LodgePokerClub There were ~150 day 2 advancers before Sat (largest day of entries by far). The list shows 288. Also the payouts posted at The Lodge website show min cash at 153rd at $2522 which differs from above twitter link that indicates 120th is min cash. Possible to get a factual update?
