The Maryland Jockey Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of legendary jockey Ron Turcotte. Ron gave racing some of its greatest moments, including Secretariat’s historic run at @PimlicoRC. Our hearts are with his family & friends during this difficult time.

Today we witnessed the demolition of the iconic @PimlicoRC Clubhouse a major step toward securing the future of the @PreaknessStakes right here in Baltimore.
Grateful to First Lady Dawn Moore and @GovWesMoore for turning the Preakness into a true statewide celebration one our entire community can take pride in and benefit from.
This work guarantees that the Preakness Stakes will remain a Baltimore tradition for the next 150 years.
