@joshua67340843 @feckineh1 @donsteerman @AdamBaldwin In my 30 yr medical career the flu has never been the leading cause of death for Americans 34-55. Flu deaths usually ~30,000/yr not 350,000. This is medicine not politics. This is a vaccine preventable cause of death. I strongly encourage all my patients to get vaccinated.

@DrEliDavid @biker1881 Seems reasonable and not pathological to have some fear of the leading cause of death for people 44-54 in the US. That does not mean destroying our lives and livelihoods, perhaps just wearing a mask and getting a vaccine. Like wearing a seat belt but still being able to drive.

@TPCarney When you say anti vaccine mandate are you saying you oppose the vaccine mandates in all 50 states for school children for measles, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis , and rubella? Or just COVID which has killed more people/year than all those combined in their worst years ?

@ThomasAmidon @willyl0wman @VPrasadMDMPH Probably the most tested vaccine ever given to children, covid 8th leading cause of death for children , ~50% admission to ICU, ~1/3 NO risk factors, 10X higher risk for unvaccinated - covid does affect kids, risks are greatly reduced with vaccine. Please reconsider vaccination

@drdavidsamadi Just curious, as a urologist, how much obesity management do you do since you are collecting the data by your report because of the harms of obesity. The shaming approach to obesity works about as well as that approach for masks and vaccines.

@mp3michael @MatthewWords @ianmSC Vaccines are designed to prevent death and serious illness from COVID. They do that well. That’s the goal. We’re not going to eliminate COVID. The only infection we’ve eliminated with vaccines is small pox.

Though true as more people get vaccinated there will be an increase in total cases and death among vaccinated that’s basic math but still >10 fold risk of death unvac vs vac. That’s the facts

@stephiebieRN They don’t have similar viral loads that’s only on day one and is a common confusion. look again at curve of the viral kinetics they are totally different in vaccinated and unvaccinated which explains the lower risk of transmission with vaccination

@stephiebieRN Decreased infections, dramatically decreased deaths, lower viral load, faster decrease in viremia, decreased transmission from health care workers to their families. That’s what the medical literature shows. I don’t make my medical decisions based on politicians.

@0dogma @drsimonegold That’s actually not how this works. The more people who get vaccinated the less disease the death and the less viral evolution. And the beauty of mRNA vaccines is the ability to rapidly develop vaccines for new variants. Almost all deaths now are among unvaccinated, very sad
