Chatting to llama3 pretending to be the orang-utan Librarian from Terry Pratchett's Discworld, thanks to @ollama making local install super-easy. Was expecting a few more "ooks" :).
Assembling slides for a talk about Open Data Standards and why they're awesome, needed a fictional person as an example, went with little Bobby Tables :) https://t.co/16gndsQxmS
My friend Stephen is a horological genius, and here's his ace talk on what drives him to magic up new watch mechanisms, including why he doesn't enjoy it much despite winning the watch oscars, the joy/pain of detail and sewage pumping stations https://t.co/did67AcixK

Fantastic work all! It's been great over the past few months to collaborate with Presidential Hackathon teams across the world to get them up and running with OCDS & OC4IDS.
We're proud to announce the winners of this year's Presidential Hackathon: @CivicDatalab from India and Learning Man from Taiwan have developed innovative projects for transparency in health procurement & social housing. More https://t.co/BCJ89VvK1y #opencontracting#SDGs#UNGA
Pleased to see National Data Strategy flags forthcoming work on data standards across govt. 3 open data standards we work on (OCDS, IATI & 360Giving) are now official UK govt data standards. We look forward to feeding in more to the strategy https://t.co/4I3eMLT5dd. (by @pindec)
Hello (lovely) nerds. I'm trying to build a list of tech companies and projects that are doing non-evil, actively good things.
Tell me about some?
Also, RT for a bigger sample set, if it's not a bother 💖
@jesslynnrose I'm part of @opendatacoop, a co-operative that helps people publish & use open data for social impact. Ethical, flexible work, flat structure, equal pay, and when I was ill recently with covid-19, I was even more thankful to be part of a supportive co-op that cares about people.
For community data projects to be useful, we need to think about the challenges they face: getting good data and keeping it fresh.
@jarofgreen has shared his tips for doing this work well 👇

@goodhen I assume it was in the craft stuff we inherited from you :). That or a weirdly specific space-time wormhole has sneaked open in our craft drawer... I guess I'd better check that there is still no writing in it tomorrow.
