For years I have been looking for a substitute for Adobe Flash painting tools. I finally found a guy creating a online drawing tool that is the closest I have ever found to the look and feel of the 90's Macromedia Flash. I will sponsor his tools and I hope you do to.

Back in the 60’s/70’s/80’s my Dad managed a farm that also had buildings that were rented out to Bard College students. One day he was in his office when multiple Sheriffs, local and State troopers plus DEA agents showed up. They had a warrant to search through one of the apartments and he had the keys. He felt really bad about it, because he generally let the students do their own thing as long as they paid the rent, but he was forced to let them in. This led to a large bust of students and people living there and they went to jail . During that bust, both Walter Becker and Donald Fagen were arrested. Turns out Donald had a girlfriend that was previously arrested in Poughkeepsie for drug possession and referenced him as a dealer. If you listen to ‘My Old School’ on Countdown to Ectasy, you can hear the whole story.
Reminds me of Soviet Newspapers before end of Cold War. So much State propaganda was viewed as obvious manipulation, the population lost faith in the State-run Media. We could easily go down that road. So much fakery online, people lose faith in social media and online content in general. Remedy being focus on local issues, define acceptable use of AI and ban certain uses of AI where is can be used to manipulate and misinform.
Although the Cyber Truck is neat, and the timeline from concept to production was remarkably fast... the finishing is pretty rough and the design definitely has a child's sketch feel, lol. But a mini van based on the Ark II roamer or the 70's Brewbaker Box... that would be bad-ass!
@WorldNews_X_ Myself and several others saw something similar in 1986. They tried to cover it up by saying it was group of retired pilots flying ultralights in a V formation...but it was definitely a absolutely silent single body craft, roughly the size of a football field.
How about we all agree to call it TwiX. Saying 'formerly Twitter, Now X ' is just is getting old. I think most people will understand the mashup context does not include caramel or chocolate. lol
From roughly 84-88', when NY farmers were reeling from years of State and Wall Street abuse, David and Marg started buying up farms in Dutchess and Columbia County. A combination historical tribute to their Palatinate past and Eco Farming (plus close proximity to Iron Mountain). My Dad managed one of the farms and while the transfer of ownership was happening we saw a silent football field sized TR-3B type craft (roughly 9:30 pm September 23rd of 1986) 'float' over the farm. I was 15 at the time, so I thought it was a Alien craft which later seemed to correlate to the Whitley Strieber (Communion) type of Alien craft ( another local happening). I do remember my Dad saying ' That's some kind of Government Research Project... don't go chasing it', ( I was looking for my bike ) lol. I was nearly able to record it with a VCR camera, but unfortunately the camera battery was not charged ( I still lament this). Needless to say, Many strange things afoot in that time period.
@doomedparade 88-94 was a Golden chunk of time. Having access to a production studio, a band, next level editing tools and having it all pull together would of been a dream come true!!!
@AzzyDesignWorks@ID_AA_Carmack Exactly. Real time subtitles of foreign language communication is a very simple (relatively speaking) use of the technology. Nothing elaborate, just affordably letting the ai convert and display a conversation as text seems a practical goal.
@doqholliday Interesting. Close to Crumb Elbow Cemetery where my ancestors date back to 1700's. Too bad my Grandfather is not around any more. He knew all about the history of that area. Questions have been raised about Title and the transfer of land ownership to the Roosevelts in the past.
@doqholliday Less rural agriculture also facilitates this...Simply moving into more Urban environments creates a lesser need for more Males in a family, which inadvertently lowers chances of a generational last name.
@doqholliday I have a few pre Revolutionary gravesites I visit when in New York. The Dutch / German (Palatine) lines kept reasonable records. Their quality of life, although basic, seemed very fulfilling even by today’s standards. Economic Panics and Depressions certainly took a toll, though.
@elonmusk Next step is getting the cars to communicate with traffic lights so they can automatically sync and move at the correct speed to avoid stopping at all.
