At Pinehurst Farm, we decided we wanted to know what we eat, and the best way to do that was to raise our cattle ourselves, from birth to maturity and produce clean, high quality beef at an affordable price. If you feel the same way, we're here to help! https://t.co/Pk6q5hljQ7

WHY THEY’RE DEMONIZING RANCHERS
Fifth generation Texas cattle rancher Shad Sullivan tells Lara Logan about a lesson from his father that he has never forgotten: Americans may not understand what is being lost until they experience real hardship themselves.
Shad says generations who lived through the Depression understood something much of modern America has become disconnected from: where our food comes from, who produces it and why the land itself is fundamental to a free and independent nation.
Lara and Shad discuss the growing divide between urban America and the farmers and ranchers who feed the country, as well as the cultural and political movements they say have increasingly portrayed cattle, ranching and traditional agriculture as threats to the environment.
They also examine efforts to reduce meat consumption, proposals to tax meat, the push toward highly processed alternatives and the broader consequences of policies that make it increasingly difficult for independent farmers and ranchers to survive.
In Episode 97 of Going Rogue with Lara Logan, Shad argues that losing America’s ranchers means losing far more than a source of food. It means losing knowledge, independence and a connection to the land that generations before us understood was essential to keeping a nation free. @yearlins | @GoingRoguewLara

Washington calls a 1,000-worker meat plant 'small business.' Now the SBA wants billion-dollar firms in the same pool.
114,000 more companies qualify. 37,000 already hold $71 billion in federal contracts.
Set-asides meant for independents just got a bigger feeding trough.
“Lab-grown” eggs are already in products at Walmart and Target.... made by genetically modified yeast, not chickens.
Genetically engineered yeast programmed with a chicken gene sequence to pump out ovalbumin in giant fermentation tanks.
FDA gave it a “no questions” letter — GRAS approval. Still an egg allergen. It’s already in baked goods, protein bars, pasta, sauces, and dressings.
Labels may say “egg white protein (from fermentation)” or “animal-free egg white protein.”
It is still an egg allergen. People with egg allergies will react. Vegans who think “animal-free” means safe will get a surprise.
This is not an egg. It’s a recombinant protein made by GM microbes, scaled with pharma fermentation partners, and quietly inserted into the food supply.
Read every label. Real eggs come from chickens. This comes from a tank.
Pinehurst Farm decided to focus our approach on producing ethical, clean, mRNA and vaccine-free Wagyu-cross beef and heritage Meishan pork that lives it's entire low-stress life on open pastures and never in cages or factory feed lots. https://t.co/ejDQZ7ohGp
Americans deserve to know where their food comes from. Full stop. 🇺🇸🥩
Later this week, I will join @POTUS to announce a major action to achieve this goal.
American families deserve transparency, and American ranchers deserve a fair marketplace.
