I can at least say that the “Places” menu on the left is back in @PiNetDev Stretch (after being disabled in Raspbian), allowing for easy access to flash drives (and @microbit_edu’s) along with PiNet shared folders.
So am *slowly* making progress...
@all_about_code@RaspiKidd
Got asked again today
"Is PiNet Stretch nearly ready yet?..."
Oh how I wish I could say yes, but the move to Stretch has brought with it bug after bug after bug in LTSP, Raspberry Pi Trading packages, PiNet itself and other core software.
You fix one and another appears 🙁
@RavingMetrics If you already have a PiNet server installed, just switch release version in the “Other” menu to Alpha.
You don’t need to manually download anything else, it will switch over / update itself all automatically.
@RavingMetrics The Pi 3 B+ is only supported on the Alpha channel still. Make sure you are running it otherwise it won’t boot.
(You can switch release channel in the “Other” menu).
@TechieTcher@Raspberry_Pi@RaspberryPiGuy1 Great, let me know if you have any other queries/issues.
DMs are open and is also a support email address - https://t.co/paFyRyWJQ2
@angelshce2 When you say a windows server, do you mean using Microsoft Active Directory for the user accounts or Remote Desktop into that server from the Pis?
@Tumaini_Kilimba I have no experience with KA Lite, but it does look like if it is just a web based system, you can install it on the PiNet server and access it like normal from the Pis.
Follow the Ubuntu installation documentation from their website.
Pleased to confirm PiNet Jessie Alpha now includes full support for @Raspberry_Pi 3 B+!
Updates for Beta/Stable channels will role out over next few weeks once folks on the Alpha channel have had time to test it all out.
PiNet Jessie Alpha servers will prompt on next startup.
As has already been confirmed by @simonlong_rpi, Raspbian Jessie (which PiNet Stable LTS branch is based on) won’t include support which is unfortunate.
I will do some testing though when I get 1 and see if is possible to backport support to PiNet Stable.

Given have already had questions from PiNet users on new Pi 3B+ (many assuming I got pre-warning, which I didn’t)
PiNet does not at this second support Pi 3B+, given I have only been aware of it for 4 hours.
I have one on order so hope to try and get support over next few weeks
Given there has been plenty of questions of the past while of PiNet and Raspbian Stretch, here is a little bit of an update on the progress so far.
Plan is to keep the Github Issue up to date as I work through it.

I guess it was inevitable eventually...
Had first support request come into the @PiNetDev support email address for @Raspberry_Pi PiServer, as opposed to PiNet this morning...
Seemed bit confused between the 2 of them. I pointed him towards Pi forums (or just install PiNet 😀 )
