Still time to get somebody my @nostarch book "Learn Robotics with @Raspberry_Pi " for Christmas!
Make a 2-wheeled robot from scratch: no prior knowledge of coding/electronics needed! Line following, image recognition, obstacle avoidance & more!
Amazon: https://t.co/5IxDnS84fZ
Nothing says personal growth like building a wheeled minion that judges you by size and shape.
Learn Robotics with Raspberry Pi by @RaspberryPiGuy1 now 30% off with code ROBOWEEK25 until 4/12: https://t.co/9yXLspA36k
@i_sudeepa ++ You have to typically have your passport to get into a bar! Foreign driver’s licenses not accepted (at least in Pennsylvania!).
You can also get a state ID instead of a driver’s license to solve this
@ProfHomestead @east_lot @civic_grit I rode SEPTA every single day whilst at Penn.
There's a lot of work that needs to be done (by gov, Penn, others) to improve everything from safety to cleanliness before most students (and a lot of other folks!) are confident enough to engage with SEPTA regularly
@civic_grit Paint and some flimsy plastic poles != protection
Car-first attitudes to urban spaces has resulted in 10s of cyclist deaths in Philly (and who knows how many more injuries) (yet alone 100s of pedestrian deaths) in last 5 yrs
I only ever cycled on the SRT for this very reason :(
@biglesp On a similar topic, I am currently reading "Challenger: A True Story of Heroism and Disaster on the Edge of Space": https://t.co/wPB0u6Ywqs
Fascinating read so far - more like a thriller than a historical account of (very interesting) space history
@civic_grit Also reading the exec summary of that report, the Schuylkill-front presence of Penn doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon :) Though a few new buildings (Engineering) are starting to inch further East
@civic_grit Would've been pretty dang cool. For some reason though, Penn in general focuses away from the (many) students living in Center City. The shuttles for students for example barely go deep into the city: https://t.co/1O4eg48P1m
@civic_grit Philly has the potential to be a true walker and cyclist paradise. We need bold action like pedestrianising streets, protected bike lanes, jeez - widen the SRT even! Sky is the limit :)
@easyJet have a shocking practice of using "donotreply" emails for flight compensation claims.
Context: have a clear cut case of easyJet cancelling flight, had to book different airline, so am due EU compensation.
easyJet make up illegal excuse, then no way of contacting them
“If an AI agent carries out a workflow consisting of 10 tasks autonomously but has a 10% error rate per task, the compounded error rate over the whole workflow is 65%.”
There is a lot of nuance building production LLM systems
