@rickyricksmusic I used a silver face bassman with a 6x10 cabinet for years. It sounded great up until the night it caught fire on stage...nothing like setting off fire alarms at a gig.
@JoeNBC It seems to me, after the week's activity in the House, that there is far more collegiality in the body than previously suspected. Several occasions of political "odd couples" hugging, shaking hands, having close conversations. Thoughts?
@Adita_Ferrer That is great! I was once a student of Rebecca Scott, whose love for the country was infectious. Going to order a copy of your book asap.
@JasonIsbell The album entitled Bare Trees by the group, before Buckingham and Nicks joined the band, really showcased Christine's voice and keyboard work. She was a "class act" in every possible way.
@rickyricksmusic Used a Classic 30 for years. Had an amplifier tech look it over and found that the matching tubes, somehow, became unmatched. Once that was fixed I put an Eminence Cannabis Rex speaker in it. Really rocked.
@JasonIsbell Behaving like a professional is good advice, at any time in any given occupation. If the contract says 8pm, if you are not on by 8:10 there had better be a good reason--and then communicate that fact with the audience. Folks having a night out can be very forgiving.
@rickyricksmusic I had a Phillips, ordered from Germany, the first one anyone in my neck of the woods owned. Hate to say how much I paid... The doggone thing still works, rocking out my brother-in-law's basement.
@davidwblight1@megankatenelson Just before retiring I had the opportunity to teach a section of the survey course to folks not originally from the US. I really had to rethink my entire approach. Wish this had happened long before the end of my career.
I hope that it is OK with @JasonIsbell but I've been learning how to play Hope the High Road. Need a few new tunes for an upcoming jam and this song is going to be my "hopeful" contribution.
