As #China prepares to jam the #HongKong crackdown through its “legislature,” tomorrow I will AGAIN go to the Senate floor and ask my colleagues to condemn this attack on democracy and #StandWithHongKong
As we’ve seen, the President cannot be trusted to hold China accountable for its brutal crackdown on #HongKong. I’m on the floor again asking that the Senate pass the bipartisan Hong Kong Autonomy Act. https://t.co/1T0thx7ew2

Yesterday I spoke on the flagrant human rights abuses of the Chinese Communist Party which are more poignant now as the regime cracks down on Hong Kong. Acquiesence & naive words from the Trudeau govt towards the CCP are woefully inadequate. We will not give up this fight.
The Chinese communist government needs to think carefully about any actions it takes at the National People's Congress that infringe on Hong Kong’s autonomy. If the #CCP moves forward, the United States should rescind its special trading status.
