jasmine said siya lang nakaaalam kung anong nasa isip ni hannah sa ending ng open endings. adèle haenel said whatever she was thinking about when filming the ending of portrait of a lady on fire only belongs to her. is anybody getting this
it's actually bothering me na the very person you guys are attacking is a living lesbian who shared her appreciation towards sapphic characters on a thesis paper where she read and accessed filipino lesbian works so what's not clicking ba?
It seems benign, pero isipin niyo : hindi ba kayo bothered na mas kilala niyo ang fictional ships rather than actual living lesbians? What and who are preventing you from seeing, reading, and accessing works of actual lesbians? Surely not those creators.
@straw_cold i really dont know either. i wouldnt exactly call dead balagtas "rotten" since they made good points naman pero i dont like how these writers police sapphics what should be consumed when at the end of the day, all of us are just looking for something that represents what we are.
I'm quite proud of the paper I wrote analyzing app-based gig workers during COVID thru the lens of Marx's theory of alienation... But I'm not gonna pretend it's serious academic work. I wrote it over the period of 2 months and performed zero original quantitative research
@lurkerlanggaiz maybe if they worded it better i wouldnt be this disappointed. like how we can consume fictional characters while also supporting our lesbian artists equally! why be so negative over a post/discourse that can be a platform for you to share your own works instead.
@lurkerlanggaiz totoo :'( super gets naman where dead balagtas is coming from since we do need to appreciate our lesbian authors/artists more pero saying na we should be bothered for knowing fictional chars more than their works just puts a rift between the very small sapphic space we have
