Back when CC Finlay was the "editor" of F&SF in 2015, he retracted an acceptance he'd given me at Gordon Van Gelder's urging due to its "disturbing content" and begged me not to tell anyone what he'd done. Fearing repercussions, I complied.
@hecubian_devil I suspect this is related to how they treat the idea of subconscious or systemic bias as an outlandish conspiracy theory. If it's not a conscious act of malice it must be a purely natural reaction to your actual inferiority...

@sarahnicole_d@audrawilliams I remember at home, my mom - who had been raised Catholic and left -was like "Everyone knows she's right, that's why they're mad" and at school everyone was like "she's crazy, she's a bitch". It was a good lesson to learn that young.
