"I'm dark, I'm 53, I'm in my natural hair – I'm in bed with Liam Neeson. And he's not my slave owner. I'm not a prostitute. We simply are a couple in love. I've never seen it before."

A must-read, incredibly powerful piece by OW Chair @NStottDespoja. Violence against women is not being treated like the national crisis it is. It really is time to stop the slaughter in our neighborhoods. https://t.co/sh7dr4WqWj
Congrats to Jennifer Kent for The Nightingale an incredibly powerful film, told with courage, discipline and stunning performances. Deeply moved at AFF premiere.
Movies make us happy. Movies make us sad. They represent moments in our lives, attach themselves to permanent memories. We love talking about them, watching them together, laughing, crying, experiencing catharsis. No one else can tell you how to feel about them. Movies are magic.

Kids can't be what they can't see ( plus, they have finely tuned bullshit radars).
