ok so I’ve been trading on @popdex_ for one weeks now, and here’s what actually stood out to me, no hype

picture this: you open a BTC long, hold it for a few hours, close it. nothing special. but in the background that trade just gave you MegaPop tickets. you didn’t click anything extra or join some side quest.

every Sunday those tickets go into a draw. 40% of net trading fees feeds the prize pool, and the winner is picked using a Bitcoin block hash, so you can check it yourself. no “trust us” vibes.

what I like: I’m not forcing random trades just to pump volume. I trade like I normally would and tickets just stack up.

what I’d still watch: liquidity on the smaller markets. BTC feels smooth, but I want to see how the altcoin pairs hold up when more people join.

also, if you sign up with a referral code you get 30% fee cashback, which is nice if you trade often.

still early, still learning, but so far it feels less like farming and more like just trading.

if you could pick: would you rather get tickets for a weekly USDT draw, or points for a future airdrop? and why?

[Mr.mio π @mehdiamiri69]

Last month I caught myself doing something dumb on another perp DEX: opening a trade at 2am I didn't even believe in, just to hit a volume target for points.

That's when it hit me. I wasn't trading anymore, I was farming. And my PnL showed it.

So I tried @popdex_ with a simple rule: trade only my normal setup, nothing forced.

Here's what that looked like:

Day 1: I opened a BTC/USDT long in the morning and closed it in the evening. Nothing special. But later I checked my account and MegaPop tickets were already there. I never joined anything extra.

How it works:
Sign up and deposit USDT
Open any futures trade
Every eligible trade earns MegaPop tickets automatically
Each week, tickets enter a USDT prize draw

Why I trust the draw more than most: the winner is picked using a Bitcoin block hash (the Pop Hash). It's public data, so anyone can check it. Every ticket also has its own independent chance, so more volume doesn't mean a guaranteed win. That's why I stopped overtrading.

Quick news:

• MegaPop Epoch 3 is live
• The prize pool started at $150,000 USDT, and 40% of net trading fees go into it
• Unclaimed rewards roll over into future draws
• Signing up with a referral code gets 30% trading fee cashback

One thing I'm still watching: how liquidity holds on smaller markets as more people join. BTC feels smooth so far.

Question for you: have you ever forced a trade just to hit a volume or points target? What happened?

Less than 16 hours left in Epoch 2 on @popdex_ and my 6 tickets are locked in 🎱

Here are my numbers for the MegaPop draw, Monday 3:00 AM UTC.

216135
860776
775503
477261
217250
412960

Here is the wild part. If the last six digits of the Bitcoin block hash match any one of these in the same positions, I win around 90K USDT 🤯

Is it a long shot? Of course. But the draw comes from Bitcoin, not from the team, so every ticket has a real chance and all I can do now is watch 👀

Which number do you think is my lucky one? 😄

Thanks for building this, @ZacPrater and @pinsiderorg 💜

Two traders just received 8,371 USDT each from a weekly trading rewards draw.

And surprisingly, neither of them won the biggest prize.

I’m talking about MegaPop on @popdex_, which completed its first weekly draw on October 26.

Let’s look at the numbers, because they explain why this reward model caught my attention.

The first MegaPop draw:

🎟️ 4,067 winning tickets
💰 42,646 USDT in total rewards
🏆 Two tickets matched five digits and earned 8,371 USDT each
🎯 Winning Pop Hash: 631548

Nobody matched all six digits.

That means the Mega Prize went unclaimed, and 166,688 USDT rolled into the next week’s prize pool.

So the interesting story isn’t just the amount distributed. It’s how the reward system behaves when the biggest prize isn’t won.

Why does this matter?

Traditional perp DEX incentive programs often reward trading volume through points.

You accumulate points, wait for a possible token launch, and hope your allocation eventually justifies the trading fees and risks you took.

MegaPop approaches this differently.

Eligible activity generates tickets for weekly USDT draws, while 40% of net trading fees contribute to the reward pool.

There’s no token price assumption required to understand the rewards. The prize amounts are denominated in USDT.

And importantly, the largest trader isn’t automatically the largest winner.

Someone with fewer tickets can still hit the Mega Prize. Having more tickets improves your chances, but it doesn’t guarantee anything.

What I like about this model:

The reward pool is connected to actual protocol revenue rather than entirely relying on future token expectations.
Draws use publicly verifiable Bitcoin block data, making it possible to independently check the winning number.
Unawarded prizes can roll into future draws instead of simply disappearing.
The weekly schedule makes it easier to evaluate actual reward distributions rather than waiting months for an uncertain outcome.

What would I improve?

First, I’d love to see a more detailed dashboard explaining ticket eligibility and individual progress.

The exact ticket-generation formula isn’t fully disclosed, partly to prevent manipulation. That makes sense, but users should still be able to understand why their activity did or didn’t qualify.

Second, an interactive probability calculator would be useful.

Show traders the probability of winning each tier, the number of tickets they’ve accumulated, and how much they’ve spent in trading fees.

That would make it easier to evaluate the rewards realistically instead of focusing only on the jackpot.

And finally, I’d like to see long-term statistics showing total rewards distributed, fees generated, and how prize distributions evolve over multiple epochs.

My takeaway:

MegaPop is an interesting experiment in how perp DEXs can share value with their users.

The first draw proves that real USDT rewards were distributed, but one successful draw isn’t enough to establish long-term sustainability.

I’ll be watching how the prize pool and participation develop over the coming weeks.

Just remember: trading should make sense on its own. A potential lottery reward shouldn’t be the reason you take unnecessary leverage.

Good night fam

most dex platforms reward traders through points fee discounts or long term incentives

@popdex_ is taking a different approach with megapop

eligible trades generate progress toward pop tickets and each ticket comes with a random 6 digit number

every monday a new pop hash is taken from a public bitcoin block hash and tickets are checked against it

the more digits match in the correct positions the bigger the reward with prizes ranging from 5 usdt to a share of the mega prize pool

what makes this interesting is that trading activity doesn't just end when a position is opened or closed it can also create a chance to win weekly usdt rewards

a different incentive model worth watching as popdex grows

https://t.co/ejApYn0Wg4

[MO$$IX 👑 @0xMossix]

Let's talk about PopDEX MegaPop 🟪

Here's what makes the @popdex_ reward model worth examining:

1. Trading activity generates tickets

Eligible trades automatically generate Pop Tickets, and each ticket enters a weekly draw.

2. The prize pool has a defined funding mechanism

40% of PopDEX's net trading fees is allocated to MegaPop, while unclaimed rewards roll over into future draws. PopDEX also provided an initial 150,000 USDT to fund the pool.

3. The draw has a verification mechanism

MegaPop uses a six-digit Pop Hash derived from public Bitcoin block data. This gives participants a way to independently check the draw result, although the overall fairness still depends on the complete implementation of the system.

4. Smaller traders can participate too

Tickets aren't simply a proportional representation of trading volume. Each ticket has an independent chance of winning, so higher volume doesn't automatically guarantee a larger share of the prize.

The bigger picture is what interests me: PopDEX is trying to connect exchange revenue with user rewards.

now comes the important part: proving that the model can remain sustainable without compromising liquidity, execution, or consistent payouts as adoption increases.

Respect to @pinsiderorg for bringing attention to MegaPop.

Well lately I've been exploring @popdex_ and their campaign called megapop caught my eye

@pinsiderorg

Eligible trading activity earns Pop Tickets and those tickets give you a chance to win from the weekly prize pool which will grow and now it's on 250k if I'm not mistaken

What I'd improve is to change the minimum thershold for each ticket

As you can it's around 16-17k volume for each ticket

Have you tried MegaPop yet ? I'd be interested to hear what you think.

Good morning friends ☀️

Starting my day with another look at MegaPop on @popdex_.

Yesterday, I was thinking about how MegaPop makes trading more interesting with Pop Tickets and rewards.

Today, I'm looking at it from a different side.

I think rewards are nice, but what really matters is giving people a reason to stay and use the platform.

That's what I like about the idea behind MegaPop. It adds something extra to the trading experience instead of making everything about price movements.

But there's one thing I'd like to see improved.

I think new users should be able to understand the full reward process without spending too much time looking for answers.

How do Pop Tickets work? How are winners picked? What should users know before joining?

Clear answers to these questions would make MegaPop even better.

I'm still exploring it, and I'd love to hear from people who have already tried it.

You can check it out here:

Have you tried MegaPop yet, or are you still learning about it like me?

In my opinion, the real test for any perp DEX is how the order book handles volatile wicks without phantom slippage.

Keeping execution fully on chain while matching CEX latency is hard.

Testing @popdex_ during high volatility sessions to see if the book actually holds
Worked pretty well so far

[joker @jokersse3]

Let's move on to a new prop.

Trading already comes with enough risks, so getting something extra from your activity is an interesting twist.

That's what caught my attention with @popdex_ and MegaPop.

Eligible trades can earn Pop Tickets giving users a chance to win from a weekly USDT prize pool.

It turns regular trading activity into another opportunity beyond the market itself.

Curious to see how far they can take this as Popdex grows.

[HΞCTOR @0xHecktor]

Been looking at how @popdex_ is trying to link actual trading activity back to participants through MegaPop.

Most venues treat fees as something that mostly stays with the platform or gets recycled through vague points systems.

Here, 40% of net trading fees goes straight into a weekly prize pool.

Eligible activity generates Pop Tickets automatically not purely based on volume, and with a hard cap per address so each ticket has its own shot in the draw.

What stands out is the draw itself. Every Monday they pull a 6 digit Pop Hash from Bitcoin block data.

Tickets get matched against it, and the matching logic counts total digit hits rather than requiring a perfect sequence from the start.

Results, tickets, and the pool are on chain, so you can verify instead of just trusting the UI.

The pool also launched with 150k USDT seeded by the team, and unclaimed amounts carry forward.

Lower tier matches still pay fixed USDT amounts, while the top two tiers take a percentage of the pool, so the upside scales with real fee volume.

Whether this holds up depends on whether they keep execution quality and liquidity solid as more people show up.

But the structure is at least explicit about routing a defined slice of fees back into a weekly, checkable mechanism instead of leaving it entirely discretionary. @pinsiderorg #MegaPoPinsider

[Begard @BegardAhmadi]

Been looking into how MegaPop actually works on @popdex_ , and a couple of the design choices feel smarter than the usual farm forever stuff.

You do not get a ticket every time you trade. Your activity builds some kind of progress, and only after you cross a threshold does it mint one ticket with a completely random 6 digit number. Leading zeros are fine, and you have zero say in the digits. There is also a hard cap of 10k tickets per address per week.

The draw is every Monday at 03:00 UTC. It grabs the first Bitcoin block that comes after that time and takes the last six numeric digits of the hash. That is the Pop Hash. Because it is just a public Bitcoin block, anyone can check it, and the team cannot mess with it.

Matching is positional too. It only cares if the digit is in the exact same spot, not whether they form some sequence. A full 6 digit match takes 42% of the pool, 5 digits gets 8%, and the smaller matches pay fixed amounts of 100, 10, and 5 USDT.

Each ticket is scored on its own, so one good ticket from a smaller trader has the exact same shot as anyone else. Unclaimed money rolls over, and right now there is a 2x ticket boost.

What I like is that it does not favor whales just because they trade more. One strong ticket is one strong ticket. The Bitcoin timing also makes the whole thing feel properly unriggable.

The part that still feels fuzzy is the progress formula itself. It is hard to know roughly how much activity is needed for the next ticket.

Still pure luck at the end of the day, so only using size I would trade anyway.
