US100 update 🔻
Played out exactly by the range — rejected from RH, now tapping into RL. Textbook range play.
9:30 open is the key moment — watching for reaction here. Hold RL = bounce back into range. Break RL = range shift, next leg down.
Patience till the open, let price show its hand. 👀

He tells his brother and trader crew every payout. A support system that gets it makes the wins sweeter. His brother trades too, so every payout gets shared with people who actually understand what it took.

everyone knows that it's important to choose a trading style that aligns with one's personality but i believe choosing a trading style that aligns with your life situation is far more important.
successful day trading is a full-time job so even if you have the perfect personality to be an intraday trader, those personality traits won't help you much if you live a busy lifestyle with a full-time job. with swing trading on the other hand, it's much easier to integrate it into an already busy life. i would also argue that it's much easier for someone with a mentality suitable for scalping to adapt to swing trading than for a person with the swing trading personality to adapt to scalping.
for this reason i always recommend that beginners start on the higher time frames with swing trading and only move into the intraday price action once they start seeing consistency in their swing trading approach.
it's usually the other way around. beginners start at the lower timeframes because they think more trades equal more money and they are most likely attracted by the fast action of the lower timeframes. maybe this is a process that everyone has to go through but it's a shame when you see people being stuck on the lower timeframes, being unprofitable for years before they switch to swing trading and realize how much more aligned it is with their life situation.
as traders we need to be rigid in our process while being fluid at the same time. the saying "strong convictions loosely held" encapsulates this perfectly.
system hopping can definitely be detrimental to one's trading success but system hopping for the sake of exploration, i believe, can be a way of experiencing different trading styles and exploring your identity as a trader (which is crucial for long-term success).

if you want a super stressful life where you are glued to the screens and a slave to price action constantly, with minimal chance of success, you should definitely try day trading.
if you want a more peaceful and relaxing life with less screen time and a higher chance of success, you should instead try swing trading.
