Did you know MP4 files recorded with Chrome's MediaRecorder have a duration of 0?
Not a bug in your code. It's how fMP4 works — and it breaks seeking + playback across common players.
We dug into the MP4 structure to explain why (and what to do about it)

So @firefox 144 added support for custom video capture resolutions via getUserMedia()! 🚀
Here’s how it stacks up against 143 using our webcam resolution tester.
We just rolled out a new EU region, here's the gist of it:
1. Two new region options: EU3 and Random EU
2. Increased uptime
3. More capacity
4. Easier updates (for us)
5. Hetzner for compute, Scaleway for storage
6. Available to Creator, PRO plans today

From permissions to device enumeration, codecs, and constraints, it’s all here:👉 https://t.co/H0SWthq5Up
Our main recording client just got faster at playback⚡
After recording, playback now happens directly from a local in-memory blob. No more HTTPS fetches from the server.
Faster and smoother playback, seeks especially on slow or unstable connections (like mobile connections).

It seems iPhone 17’s front camera landscape-resolution support (while the device is held in portrait) doesn’t extend to getUserMedia video resolutions in Safari. Using our resolution tester + @browserstack, the device only returned portrait resolutions.
