What emergency? A fire? A tornado? A school shooter? Would your kid having a phone actually help in any of those situations? The phone is a tether of perceived control but that control is an illusion.
@Charlygotyou This is because legally children need to be in school for a certain number of days. Truency is an increasingly large issue. Parents don’t make students go to school anymore. If districts just excused every absence, parents would not send their children without facing legal action
