One divisive, charismatic leader. Multiple factions watching his rise. An arrest. A trial. Will the outcome make or destroy six very different eyewitnesses?

@judy4naperville @SheaVentris I read Alan Paton's "Cry, the Beloved Country" in the 80s and the dialogue was the same - preceded by a dash.
On doing some research, it was the way he wrote the book and the publisher kept the convention he had used.
@jodipicoult Very sensible not to trust it - you can't rely on the British weather to remain constant. It can change within a day. At that time of year, plan for warm (not hot, generally) and dry, but always be prepared for cold and rain, especially rain. ☔️
An historical novel of the wife of one of the most influential figures in history. Her story from child to nun to free single woman to wife to mother at the time of the Reformation is eye-opening. Well worth the read.

The legend of King Arthur? In a fantasy novel? Been there, done that. But this series treats the legend so differently, it's well worth a read.

This book is something different: a female-based war thriller with an underlying philosophical approach. Definitely worth a look.
