பிராமண சாமி

சமீபத்தில்(2019ல் எழுதியது) ஸ்ரீரங்கம் சென்றிருந்தேன். மதியம் 12.15-க்குச் சீட்டு வாங்கி வரிசையில் நின்றேன். கூட்டம் நகராமல் அங்கேயே இருந்தது. எப்பொழுது சேவித்துவிட்டு வெளியே வருவோம் என்ற கவலை எல்லோர் முகத்திலும் இருந்தது. என் அருகில் ஒரு கிராமத்துவாசி இருந்தார். அவர் முகத்திலும் ‘எப்ப சேவிக்கப் போகிறோம்’ தான்.

இந்தச் சமயத்தில் எங்கள் பின் இருந்தவர்கள் ‘நைசாக’ முன்னே சென்றார்கள். கிராமத்துவாசிக்குக் கோபம் வந்து திட்ட ஆரம்பித்தார். கண்டபடி திட்ட ஆரம்பிப்பதற்கு முன் அடியேன் அவரிடம்

“கோபப்படாதீர்கள், நிச்சயம் நாம் எல்லோரும் சேவிக்கப் போகிறோம்... என்ன ஐந்து நிமிஷம் தாமதம் ஆகலாம்”

“சரி சாமி, வரிசை என்று ஒன்று இருக்கு இல்ல.. ?”

“உங்களுடன் உடன்படுகிறேன்... நீங்க நின்றுகொண்டிருக்கும் மண்டபம் பெயர் தெரியுமா ?” என்று பேச்சை மாற்றினேன்.

“சந்தனு மண்டபம் ... எழுதியிருக்கிறதே”

“சந்தனு என்ற அரசன் கட்டியது என்பார்கள், சந்தன மண்டபம் என்றும் சொல்லுவார்கள்”

“சந்தனமா ? ”

“ஒரு காலத்தில் இங்கே சந்தன மரத்தைக் கட்டி, அதில் தண்ணீர் தெளித்து இந்த இடமே வாசனையாக இருக்கும்...”

“கோயில் என்றால் ஸ்ரீரங்கம் தான் சாமி, திருப்பதி எல்லாம் அதற்கு அப்புறம் தான்...” என்று நம்ம கட்சியில் இணைந்தார்.

“இங்கே என்ன இருக்கு தெரியுமா ? ”

“இருட்டாக இருக்கே... “

“நல்லா பாருங்க, உள்ளே கருடன் தெரிவார்.. “

பார்த்துவிட்டு ”ஆமாம்” என்றார்.

“வெளியே பெரிய கருடன் பார்த்தீர்களே, அதனுடைய மினியேச்சர் மாதிரி இருப்பார்... காலையில் விஸ்வரூபத்தின் போது தேவர்கள் எல்லாம் இங்கே தான் ஒன்று கூடுவார்கள் பெருமாளைச் சேவிக்க ... தேவர்கள் நிற்கும் இடத்தில் தான் நாம இப்ப நின்றுகொண்டிருக்கிறோம்! இதை நான் சொல்லவில்லை, தொண்டரடிப்பொடியாழ்வார் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்"

அவர் டென்ஷனாகி, ”ஓ” என்று இன்னொரு முறை எட்டிப் பார்த்தார். உடனே கூட்டம் மொத்தமும் சின்னக் கருடனைப் பார்க்க ஆரம்பித்தது.

கூட்டம் மெதுவாக முன்னே சென்றது. “அங்கே அந்த இடம் தெரிகிறதா கதவுப் பக்கம் ...அங்கே தான் ராமானுஜர் கோயில் கணக்கு பார்ப்பது, பெருமாளுக்குப் பிரசாதம் எல்லாம் சரியாகப் போகிறதா என்று நிர்வாகம் செய்த இடம்”

“அப்படியா சாமி... எந்த இடம் சரியா சொல்லுங்கள்...” காண்பித்தேன்.

”இந்த மர மண்டபம் எதுக்கு ?”

”இங்கே தான் நம்பெருமாளுக்கு அமாவாசை, ஏகாதசி போன்ற நாட்களில் திருமஞ்சனம் நடக்கும்”

”திருமஞ்சனமா ?”

”அபிஷேகம்”

பிறகு காயத்திரி மண்டபம் வாசலில் மீண்டும் கொஞ்சம் நேரம் நிற்க வேண்டியிருந்தது.

“உள்ளே இருக்கும் மண்டபத்துக்குக் காயத்திரி மண்டபம் என்று பெயர். காயத்திரி மந்திரத்தில் 24 எழுத்து மாதிரி இங்கே 24 தூண்கள் இருக்கும்”

“உள்ளே போய் எண்ணிப் பார்த்துவிடுகிறேன்” என்றார் தீர்மானமாக.

"24 தூண்கள் இருக்க வேண்டுமே" என்று நம்பெருமாளிடம் வேண்டிக்கொண்டேன்.

“இங்கே இருப்பவர்கள் தான் ஜெயன், விஜயன் துவாரபாலகர்கள்... கருடன், இவர்களிடம் எல்லாம் நாம் அனுமதி வாங்கிக்கொண்டு உள்ளே சென்று நம்பெருமாளைச் சேவிக்க வேண்டும்”

அவர் மீண்டும் கருடன் பக்கம் திரும்பி ஒரு கும்பிடு போட்டார்.

”இங்கே இந்த மண்டபத்தில் தான் தேசிகன் பல நூல்களையும், மணவாள மாமுனிகள் திருவாய்மொழி ஈடு காலட்சேபம் சொன்ன இடம்... “ என்றேன்.

“இவங்க எல்லாம் யார் சாமி ?”

“ராமானுஜர் தெரியும் இல்லையா ? அவர்களுக்குப் பின் வந்தவர்கள்... இப்ப இந்த மண்டபத்தில் இவ்வளவு நேரம் நிற்பது நாம் செய்த அதிர்ஷ்டம் இல்லையா ?”

“ஆமாம்” என்று ஆமோதித்தார்.

காயத்திரி மண்டபத்துக்குச் செல்லும் முன் அந்தக் கிராமவாசி பக்கத்தில் இருந்தவரிடம் “இதற்குத் தான் கோயிலுக்குப் பிராமண சாமியுடன் வர வேண்டும்” என்று, “நீங்க முன்னே போங்க சாமி” என்று எனக்கு தற்காலிக மரியாதை கிடைத்தது. .

’பிராமண சாமி’ என்ற பட்டத்தை வாங்கிக்கொண்டு உள்ளே சென்றபோது, வரிசையை உடைத்துச் சென்றவர்கள் வெளியே ஓட்டமாக ஓடினார்கள்.

35. He helped the Pandavas clear the Khandava forest to establish Indraprastha.

A group of 60 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu were travelling in three buses on the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage. The whereabouts of around 40 travelling in two of those buses remain unknown.

The 21 pilgrims in the third bus had a miraculous escape, scrambling to higher ground as the waters rushed down.

I met them at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport as they headed home via Delhi to Chennai — counting their blessings, but deeply worried about those still missing.

THE PROOF: CHINA IS CUTTING DOWN, BORING THROUGH THE HIMALAYAS IN ECO-SENSITIVE TIBET.

The Padang Mountain Tunnel (Padangshan Tunnel) is one of China's biggest highway tunnel projects in Tibet. It is part of the Lhasa–Shigatse Expressway, the expressway. This snakes through the Himalayas and it forms the backbone of China's road corridor towards the Gyirong (Kerung) Port on the Nepal border. The tunnel is located in Rinbung County, Shigatse, roughly 200–250 km from the Nepal border at Gyirong/Rasuwagadhi.
Very often as the pictures show the debris is left in open landfills. This creates perfect conditions for mud slides and river bed encroachment.
