We launched a Substack called Safety To Thrive, and we'd love for you to read it.

The first post covers the basics: what https://t.co/1hsStDzeii actually is, who it’s for, and what we mean when we say we're the internet's emergency room.

We built https://t.co/1hsStDzM7Q to give people experiencing harm online a clear, accountable pathway to support — and a way to be part of the solution.

That means ensuring a safe, responsive user experience - before, during, and after an incident.

Back in 2022, I asked @NDI to work on having a dedicated program to support Women in Politics who endure Technology Facilitated Gender Based Violence #TFGBV.

Fast Forward, two years later, on 26/9/2024 the world’s first of its kind, Rapid Online Support and Assistance Mechanism #ROSA for women in politics who experience #TFGBV was launched in #NewYork and #Dakar.

As I recorded @moira, Director @NDItech make the annoucement in #Dakar, I got a pleasant surprise of my leadership in this two year journey being recognised. Thank you @StateGWI, @USAID, @NDI, @PirthOrg and @freedomhouse and look forward to working together in strengthening online safety of women in politics and by doing so saving democracy.

@PirthOrg inception is timely and essential in tackling #online-violence, especially when social media platforms make #reporting difficult and lead users through frustrating loops. I fully welcome your efforts and offer my full support in advocating for safer online spaces.
