@itsDanielPika i think you may have taken him at face value a bit too much - that's his front to the world. he outwardly portrays this reckless carefree devil may care self, but beneath that image he's curating, is someone who genuinely cares about those around him and what drives his team on.

I love how Ryota Ozawa basically acknowledges that he knows that Captain Marvelous will always return every couple of years in some capacity and is always looking forward to it.

Quite fitting that his last possible appearance coincides with Gokaiger 15th anniversary this year.

Here's some for Gokaiger

Ryota Ozawa wasn't the inital choice for Captain Marvelous. Yutaka Kobayashi of KR Gaim got the role but had to drop out due to a prior acting engagement. Gokaiger head producer Takaaki Utsunomiya cited that Ozawa's grinning expression as the reason for casting him. Ryota had also previously auditioned for ShinkenRed but wasn't chosen after making it to the final round.

Yui Koike getting the role of Gokai Pink depended on M.A.O as she was the first of the female cast hired and had the choice of playing either yellow or pink. Yui also had previously auditioned for ShinkenYellow.

Kazuki Shimizu wanted to be GokaiGreen specifically because he and Masahiro Kuranuki (Sion/TimeGreen) grew up in the same hometown and was a big brother to him grown up. Shimizu wanted to pay tribute by having the opportunity to transfrom into him.

Gokaiger still reigns supreme! Glad to see my favorite sentai get the top spots of the super sentai rankings. It earned the number 1 spot for overall super sentai and the number 2 rankings for individual hero (Gokai Red) and robo (Gokai-Oh).
