Kenyan FARMERS, a severe El Niño is forecast for Kenya from mid-2026 through Q1 2027, potentially worse than 1997. In '97, flooding killed 2,000+ people, wiped out 300,000 ha of crops, and killed over 600,000 livestock.
Here's a 14-step action plan. Start this week. 🧵
The latest propaganda being pushed around UDA and 2027 is very simple.
They want Kenyans to believe that the election is already gone, that Ruto will rig, that voting will not matter, that registration is useless and that the people should enter 2027 already defeated in their minds.
That is why you are seeing this “they will rig” line being sponsored and amplified everywhere, including by sections of the media that have become very friendly to this regime.
NTV itself has carried the framing of UDA leaders allegedly plotting to rig 2027, showing how loud this narrative has become in public conversation.
To be honest, the optics of serious, countrywide rigging are too heavy for this regime.
This is a government that cannot repair potholes, cannot manage fuel prices, cannot manage schools, cannot manage hospitals, cannot manage salaries, cannot even explain simple taxes without creating anger.
You really believe the same confused regime has the intelligence, discipline, secrecy and technical sophistication to manage a clean nationwide rigging operation without being caught?
Rigging a presidential election is not like bribing a few brokers in a hotel or manipulating a small party nomination. A national election has agents, polling stations, forms, constituency tallying centres, observers, media, screenshots, live streams, parallel tallies and millions of angry citizens watching every number. The moment Kenyans realize even one vote does not tally, this country will enter a crisis bigger than anything this regime can control.
That is why I believe this “he will rig anyway” chorus is not just a warning.
It is psychological warfare meant to kill voter registration, kill turnout and create apathy. It is also meant to make young people say, “Why vote if they will steal it?” That is exactly where they want you mentally.
The real answer is not to stay home but massive registration, massive turnout, agents in every polling station, parallel tallying, civic vigilance and zero fear.
Elections are not stolen from people who are awake, organized and watching every vote. Elections are stolen from people who were discouraged before the first ballot was even cast.
So don’t fall for the propaganda. The vote still matters, registration matters, turnout mattes and polling station vigilance matters.
Today, I stood on the dusty, broken roads of Muhoroni and Awasi, listening to the heartbeat of a community that feels systematically abandoned by the current regime. What I witnessed was a heartbreaking testament to government neglect and the collapse of our local economy, starting with the crumbling infrastructure that makes basic movement a struggle. The silence of the Muhoroni Sugar Factory chimneys is not merely an industrial failure; it is a direct assault on the livelihoods of thousands of families who now face an uncertain future.
To make matters worse, we are hearing deeply disturbing reports that the factory's milling machines are being dismantled and transferred elsewhere in the dark of night. We demand absolute clarity on these rumors and the opaque leasing process that has callously disregarded the Muhoroni Sugar Primary School, leaving parents helpless and children’s education in jeopardy.
The injustice extends deep into the soil of this region, where land grabbing at the factory’s nuclear estate and in Miwani by outsiders is displacing our people and fueling deadly border conflicts. In Koguta, lives are being lost due to insecurity and cattle rustling, yet the government remains silent while the lack of basic street lighting makes our neighborhoods vulnerable to crime. We see a system where CESS is collected but never reinvested to help the residents, where locals are denied employment opportunities in their own backyard, and where workers are dismissed improperly without a shred of dignity.
Linda Mwananchi is the only movement left with the courage to voice the plight of the people, carrying forward the spirit of advocacy that Raila once championed. I stamp my authority as your party leader; we have the vision and the capacity to run for the Presidency and take this fight to the highest office in the land. We will no longer sit back while our resources are plundered and our people are marginalized. Muhoroni and Awasi, I have heard your cry, and the movement to reclaim our dignity and our future starts now.

The recent remarks by H.E. President Samia Suluhu Hassan suggesting coordinated regional action to suppress youth-led civic expression across East Africa raise grave constitutional and rule of law concerns within the East African Community.
The Constitution of Kenya is unequivocal. It guarantees freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly under Articles 33, 36 and 37. These are not concessions from the State; they are protected rights that form the foundation of democratic governance. Comparable protections exist across the region and are reflected in the commitments of the East African Community.
Demands for accountability, transparency and respect for human rights cannot be characterised as disorder. They are an essential feature of constitutional democracy. Kenya’s legal framework does not permit the use of force, coercion or punitive measures against citizens for the peaceful exercise of their rights. Articles 27, 28 and 29 protect equality, dignity, and freedom from cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment. These safeguards are absolute.
The Law Society of Kenya rejects any proposition that fundamental freedoms may be curtailed through executive direction, political convenience or regional alignment. Constitutional rights are not negotiable, and they are not subject to suppression in the name of order. Any attempt to undermine these freedoms will be met with firm institutional resistance through legal, civic and regional accountability mechanisms.
Kenya’s democratic gains were secured through sustained struggle, institutional reform and principled resistance to arbitrary power. They must be preserved through fidelity to the rule of law and respect for civic space. The appropriate response to citizen engagement is dialogue, not deterrence.
The Law Society of Kenya calls on governments within the region to uphold constitutional norms, respect the rights of all persons and engage constructively with citizens. The Society remains committed to defending the Constitution, protecting fundamental freedoms and advancing the rule of law across the region.
Thank you for the thunderous reception and the unmatched energy. Today, you’ve proven once again that the spirit of Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga lives on in your hearts and your actions.
Thank you for standing firm, keeping the flame of liberation burning, and choosing to be on the right side of history. The march to a better Kenya continues, and the Lakeside has set the pace!
Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo says ODM’s actions against embattled Secretary General Edwin Sifuna have ended up boosting his political rise, says they have instead made him stronger within party ranks and among supporters.
Today, I had an engaging tete a tete with @WillisRaburu . He’s officially bringing his signature youthful energy, corporate MC expertise, and creative media edge to the Linda Mwananchi Movement.
Willis is running for the Kisumu Senatorial seat, and we are thrilled he’s chosen to board our bus, a movement fueled by the aspirations of the youth and a drive for a better Kenya.

Following the death of Ol Kalou MP this morning, Gachagua has already convened an emergency meeting this evening with DCP Nyandarua leaders led by Methu to suggest a strong DCP candidate for that by-election.
Gachagua’s nightmare is that UDA will front a candidate there and the a Mbeere North scenario is likeky to be replayed there.
This will be Ruto's last nail in DCP's political coffin in Mt Kenya.
