It’s a great time to scale back assessments. NY is over the top with 3-8 and Regents exams. Most states test 4,8 & 11 exit exams ELA & Math. Testing at most grade levels especially HS limits flexibility and opportunity for kids. I’m ok with assessment but let’s be more realistic.

I was grateful for the compassion of our teacher. And I was reminded that the welfare of our kids trumps the course of study every day of the week.
