Yea, I’ve been trying to figure out how to deal with this in my own family like my family was happy when Charlie Kirk got shot “that’s what that racist gets”

And.. I didn’t really like Mr. Kirk that much but it was because of his views or his challenging of views, but those attributes became highlighted to me because he argued up against what he identified as bigotry or tribalistic based beliefs.. he argued with his own tribalism🙄 but he.. had a differing perspective and because of that, they celebrated his death and it sickened me.

Idk how to deal with these people aside from ripping their arguments apart but not with subjectivity🤧

Arguing subjectivity is.. retarded, imo.. it’s something most of these podcast people do

Well from what I understood of the usage of gaslighting, it’s like.. a way to make someone seem crazy? Like dismissing their perspective, stating how something was, when it clearly was not that way?

If that’s the way that you’re using or understand gaslighting, how I addressed it shall remain🤔 and it’s because well.. if I’m certain my perspective is the only correct perspective, whether I believe this consciously or unconsciously, then another perspective will be dismissed and deemed as nonsensical or misaligned with the “truth” 😅

Well the person that is gaslighting, I swear to you, more often than not.. they’re just explaining their perspective to you but they believe it as absolute or universally aligning truth rather than it being just an interpretation or perspective

So they’ll tell you that you’re “wrong” and that they’re “right” and that you’re “crazy” for not being aligned with a sense they beeelieve everyone is operating in

Hm I suppose that’s fair🤔 some people are so locked into a sense that you may end up having to choose between their will or death.. so, you seem “nice” are not open to harming others, so I’d imagine severing ties keeps your experiences from being leveraged against you in this way
