This forested area stretches over 7,000 acres and is just minutes from downtown Boston. A large response is on scene. The Northeast continues to see many wildfires in their urban interface areas.

Red Flags are forecast across the state today.

Wellesley Fire is working a brush fire along the eastbound side of Rt. 135 just prior to Bacon St. The fire is knocked down. Rt. 135 is closed between Pond Rd. and Weston Rd. while crews overhaul the area.
