@aakashgupta That... I... I can honestly say I've never thought about why we have two nostrils. However I have observed the "nasal cycle" and always wondered what the heck was wrong with my nose. I was today years old when I finally learned it was normal!
Totally agree. "It appeals too much to the existing audience" is such a weird take - that's a good thing. It's also not true, anyway -- the showrunners have already publicly said they made sure it both would honor the existing fan base, as well as have wide appeal to a new audience. I'm curious if we'll ever find out the real reason it got canceled.
Either way it's disappointing. There's been a severe lack of quality scifi for the last 10 years or so, with a few notable exceptions like The Expanse.
I'm a huge Stargate fan and was really looking forward to the new series. Super sad to see it got canceled by Amazon. Make some noise if you want to see it too!
I’m gonna simply say this: if you are at all interested in a Stargate show with ANY of the original creators/performers involved, now is the time to say something. Otherwise it really will be the end of that chapter forever. Let them know you are THERE
Agree. It's unfortunate though that they're trying to rescue themselves this way. It will keep alive a business model that deserves to die so better solutions can take their place - true world models with object representation, learning that doesn't require a football field of servers.
Exactly. Totally agree with this. Every time I rewatch something I love, I get something different from it. I see something I didn't before, am reminded of something I forgot, it resonates differently because of what may be happening in my life at that moment - whatever. But it's always a different experience.
So all the techbros telling us to grind are really just speaking through their dysregulated dopamine systems...
Makes sense to me. You can feel it radiate off of them, too, as though one light breeze and their entire body will snap in half. They're so wired that they vibrate like a guitar string.
@HenryThePooh@MuItimach Lure them over to UESC commanders and then get their attention lol. They'll go after the team first. Then you run away. So fun to see that happen.
@duplopants@MuItimach Also - you can do Night Marsh on Sponsored Survivor and you're alone for the first 5 minutes. I was able to do contracts in that time, collect good gear, and then just hide in a closet until final exfil. I somehow managed to exfil alone.
Hey that's me lol. Most of the time I just want to chill so I just grab sponsored kits, go into Perimeter and if I exfil, great. If not, meh.
Dire Marsh and Outpost def give better gear though so try to get in a few runs on those and exfil. Dire Marsh isn't bad at all (the exfil near greenhouse is usually easy to hit) but Outpost is definitely a tough map mostly because it's so small.
@J9AraAra@MacticsG1 "The people" have no voice in basically anything anymore. People express themselves one of the last ways left to them and you call it pathetic.
Grow up.
@edzitron This is one of the ways we know this is both a bubble and a cult: Even accountants are being told to ignore the evidence of their eyes and "just believe". This is probably the most absurd techfest I've ever seen in my life. and I've lived through all of them since the 90's.
@iamprophetes@Grady_Booch@elonmusk He may have believed that a long time ago. He surely isn't doing so now, even if he still believes it, and you surely shouldn't either: Someone who says they're aiming for a $10T personal fortune is not thinking of the well being of anyone but himself.
@jpula23687@CrazyVibes_1 Miss me with this shit. Bezos is personally responsible for millions of people needing public assistence to eat.
Only one thing matters: Bezos has not used this wealth and power to actually make the world better. But he sure does have a nice yacht.
“THIS IS NOT LEADERSHIP, JEFF.” Pope Leo XIV stunned the world after publicly criticizing Jeff Bezos and threatening to remove all Vatican-affiliated publishing partnerships and official merchandise agreements connected to Amazon platforms.
The shocking statement came after Bezos was once again linked to political alliances that critics say are deepening division across America.
“You cannot claim to support humanity while empowering voices that profit from fear, hatred, and division,” Pope Leo XIV declared during a rare public address that instantly exploded across social media.
For several moments, Bezos reportedly offered no response.
The silence only intensified the global reaction.
The Pope continued with a warning that many are now calling one of the boldest confrontations ever directed at a tech billionaire:
“When profit becomes more sacred than people, society begins to lose its soul.”
Within minutes, political commentators, journalists, celebrities, and religious leaders around the world began weighing in.
Then Donald Trump erupted on Truth Social.
The former president mocked Pope Leo XIV as a “global activist in religious clothing,” accusing him of attacking free enterprise and “desperate for media attention.”
But the Pope refused to back down.
Hours later, he answered Trump with eight calm words that instantly shook the internet:
“Truth does not fear wealth, power, or noise.”
And suddenly, the entire conversation changed.
Millions praised the Pope for standing against corporate influence and political intimidation, while critics accused him of crossing into dangerous political territory.
But regardless of where people stood, one thing became undeniable:
Jeff Bezos had just been publicly challenged by one of the most powerful moral voices on Earth — and the world could not stop watching.
