Joe Root averages 85 runs per match overall and 89 runs in last 5 years. Assuming a dip of form if he scores 75 runs per match, then he would need around 37 matches to cross Sachin which is around 3 years. #joeroot
Joe Root needs 31 runs to go past Dravid and Kallis on all time Test run scoring list. He needs 120 runs to go past Ponting into second place. Could easily have that done before the end of the summer.
Then it is just #CatchinSachin
People mock Kemar Roach for playing since the dinosaur age. They have no idea what that actually took.
Kemar Roach has done something for West Indies that sounds ordinary, until you remember the environment he did it in. Because the truth is, he has done something almost no current West Indies player even thought was possible.
Just staying a consistent Test cricketer for West Indies is a challenge in itself, given the financial and infrastructure mess the board is in right now. So to pick up 300 Test wickets, and pour blood and sweat into it year after year, is beyond impressive. And Roach did both, with genuine passion in every single game.
People troll him for playing since the dinosaur age. But that is the whole point, isn't it? Imagine playing this long, being the senior pro, and still walking out as the best bowler in your team. That takes something extraordinary.
Well done, great man.
Every single player in @BLACKCAPS’ top XI had a big hand in series victory:

Ravindra 76, 94

Blundell 51, Keeping standing up

Jamieson 41, 10/242
Smith 16/368
O’Rourke 10/256
Henry 12/160
A complete team effort
We all know a few “Matt Henrys” in sport; excellent players who spend most of their careers in the shadows because they came along at the wrong time when multiple greats of the game are driving the vehicle up front. Then the sun comes up and Matt gets his chance to showcase his skill and leadership, & rarely disappoints. Only 34 Tests at age 34, but a superb record. Well done Matt.
