Dr Walker, Headmaster of Pitsford School: a 3-19 co-educational independent school set in stunning 30 acre parkland, around historic 18th century Pitsford Hall
Incredible 48 hours: Pitsford School Snr Sports Day in the baking sun watching national-level competition then evening and morning of Pitsford School Arts Fest: astounding quality & range of creation, accompanied by magnificent school music. A spectacular almost end to the year!
A beautiful card that I received today, with an important message to take into the weekend and beyond, from the Rubàiyàt of Omar Khayyàm, the Persian Astronomer-Poet.

Princess Royal was passing through Pitsford School (via a helicopter) today and the whole school came out to watch. Here is a great photo taken by our Chair of Governors! Exciting!
School is back open, Covid testing by the Parent Army is running smooth as Galaxy chocolate and the children are buzzing to be back in and hungry to learn. It feels like we have turned a corner! Stay safe everyone!
Walking home tonight I had to take pictures of our magnificent tree outside Pitsford Hall (and that wonderful moon). We’ll post a more framed shot later but I thought you’d enjoy this festive snap (with my sinister shadow!). Ho ho ho!
Great article in Attain about the Junior School securing the much-coveted Green Flag status from Eco Schools. A rare achievement: bravo to the children and staff whose dedication and sense of social purpose made this a reality. Now we need a flagpole!

What a superb group of students are the GCSE class of 2020 at Pitsford School! Unprecedented challenges of the pandemic were overcome and we have results as good as last year's epic high scores! Well done everyone one of them - today everyone is a hero!
Congratulations to Pitsford School‘s Year 13 who, in a year of terrible anxiety, have secured superb grades-they deserve a metric tonne of praise! If some results had not been unfairly downgraded, they would be even more spectacular. Bravo to our young men & women!
Very sad to read that the fine St Peter’s School Northampton will close. My heart goes out to colleagues & friends there, and to the families who now must find a new school. I send Pitsford School’s best wishes to all during this difficult time.
Here is Fraser McKenzie’s magnificent portrait of Paddington Bear (occupying pride of place in my office). A bazillion thanks to Fraser (!) &, as if planned, today’s adventure of PB has him painting! It is posted to Firefly and is also here: https://t.co/abIbrqj3K2
Humbled to see our donated PPE gear being used by our HEROES in the NHS at Rothwell&Desborough Healthcare group, Market Harborough Medical Centre, Headlands surgery & Rushden surgery (https://t.co/X62HuW6e2v). Well done Mrs Sherlock, Dr Ewington & Mr Yates for organising!
#WorldBookNight tonight. I am currently reading ‘One, Two, Three, Four: the Beatles in time’; Paddington; Alisdair Gray’s translation of Dante’s Commedia. Nice! What are you reading right now?
Feeling stressed? Bored? The best cure I know is to listen to my reading of Paddington by Michael Bond, utilising all of my soothing vocal stylings. As you know, that is how I make my real money; I only teach because I love it so much. Paddington drops on Wednesday on Firefly!
How long was the Easter holiday?! How long have we been in lockdown??? Time has lost its meaning (and its sting). Term starts again, Pitsford School is STILL open (and ALWAYS will be) and is going STRONGER than ever. We are still learning and always will. Have a magnificent term!
Moved & honoured to welcome to Pitsford Dr Martin Stern (along with Radio 4's World at One), who came to share his story of living through, and surviving, the Holocaust. It was a great privilege for my students to meet him & to hear his story, which gave us much food for thought
The most exciting thing about wonderful Pitsford School is that its potential is limited only by the imaginations of our incredible students and amazing staff, and their imaginations are limitless. However, to encapsulate that infinity in a tweet of 280 characters is very difficu
