⚽ What a few weeks for Year 11 student Theo!

After completing his GCSEs, Theo has now made his first-team debut for Blackburn Rovers. 👏

Congratulations, Theo! Everyone at GSHS is incredibly proud. 💙

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿16 year old Welsh full-back Theo Pitt is set to start the second half for Blackburn Rovers in their pre-season clash against Accrington Stanley.

Primarily a RB but equally comfortable on the left, Pitt is an athletic, attack-minded defender who loves to get forward while possessing the defensive qualities to handle 1v1 situations. He has the attributes to develop into an energetic modern full-back.

A regular for Wales at youth level, Pitt most recently played up an age group with the Wales U19s, highlighting the faith coaches have in his ability. His rapid rise through Blackburn’s academy has been equally impressive, recently signing a long term deal & becoming a regular in PL2 football at just 16 years of age, it’s a clear indication that the club rates him highly.

One to watch for Wales U19 over the next year or so.
