A historic feat at the 2026 World Junior Squash Championship.
Proud of Anahat Singh for winning the Gold Medal and becoming the first Indian squash player ever to win the World Junior Championship title. This accomplishment will further popularise squash among the youth.

As everything slowly begins to sink-in, and after finally getting some sleep last night, I wanted to share a small personal note…✍️
The first call I made after Vikram-1 successfully reached orbit was to my Dad.
He is the man who made my journey possible—with dreams for me far bigger than the ones I had for myself, and by simply never giving up on me.
Until my 8th standard, I was a bad student. I scored 51 marks in Maths and even failed another subject. Back then, I could never have imagined that I would one day make it to an IIT—or have the privilege of contributing to India’s first privately developed rocket reaching orbit, making India only the third country in the world to achieve this.
When I called him after the launch, he just cried.
And cried.
He couldn’t speak a single word.
But I understood every word he couldn’t say.
I managed to hold back my tears when Vikram-1 reached orbit. But somehow, writing this, I can’t.
Thank you, Dad. ❤️
And a big shout-out to every dad who dreams big for their children—and never gives up on them. 🙏
P.S. A picture with Dad from one of my birthdays after starting @SkyrootA.
Indian diplomat: The map of India you are using is incorrect. Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India
Ex-Bangladesh Diplomat: This is a representational map
Indian diplomat: I understand. But J&K is a part of India and it is misrepresented here
The Rajasthan rape case of a 13 year old is not leaving me! 30 men raped her! Not a single men had conscience? Not a single men thought to end this trauma? Not a single men had a teenage girl in his family? It took 5 days for police to search her? 😭😭
This 4,500-year-old terracotta dice from the Indus-Saraswati Civilization is a powerful reminder of India’s living heritage. Dicing is also mentioned as a popular game in Rig and Atharva Vedas (two of the four sacred Vedic scriptures).
From symbols and craftsmanship to rituals, yogic practices, and collective memory, numerous elements of ancient Indian civilization continue to thrive in the daily social and religious life of Indian society across regions and communities.
Civilizational inheritance is not just about geography or ruins, it is defined by living customs, symbols, rituals, and unbroken cultural consciousness. India is the enduring living continuity of the Indus-Saraswati Civilization.

One of the most powerful symbols of India’s unbroken civilizational continuity!
Discovered at Mohenjo-daro in undivided India this steatite seal, about 4,300-year-old, shows a seated figure in yogic posture (widely seen as Shiva-Pashupati) seated in Mulabandhasana, surrounded by animals.
While ancient sites may lie across modern borders, India remains the living custodian of this heritage. The yogic posture, Shaivite symbolism, and spiritual ethos seen in the Pashupati Seal continue to thrive in India’s temples, daily worship of Shiva, yogic traditions, and cultural life even today.
From the Vedic period to contemporary Bharat, this civilizational thread has remained alive and unbroken — deeply embedded in our philosophy, rituals, and collective consciousness.🇮🇳

@kushal_mehra Never paid a dime for my passport. Simple clean process at Passport Seva Kendra. No penny on verification. Was smooth and easy. In fact, the staff for document checking were great, polite.
@ananyashasau Not a single penny spent. Very systematic Passport Seva Kendra service and was done without any problems. Had the most proper experience from a Govt. Run Institution.
-This is called modern day plagiarism
-Just like Dr. Arnold Kegel copied Yoga practices Mula Bandha (root lock) & gave it his own name 'Kegal Exercise'
-What a shame

The hate for Maithili Thakur of all candidates is amusing to me. They say they want young leaders but Maithili who sings Bhajans & folk songs, who’s attached to her roots & culture isn’t the ‘Gen Z’ leader they want
Meanwhile her, unbothered, happy with her craft & her victory
It is perhaps ironic that a tweet meant to belittle Ayurvedic psychiatry ended up being a masterclass—delivered by a handwritten prescription. When @theliverdoc asked other doctors to weigh in on the pharmacology behind a prescription issued by a psychiatrist at NIMHANS, he may not have expected the answer to come from a software engineer. I had to learn pharmacology to write very sophisticated drug to drug and drug to allergy interaction rule engine. So, I am not just a regular software engineer. So here we are.
This is a public service announcement for his patients and for the medical community.
First, some context. NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences) is arguably Asia's finest institution for psychiatric and neurological care. It is not a place where seats are bought through capitation; its prestige comes from merit and academic rigor. The prescription in question wasn’t scribbled hastily—it was beautifully handwritten, conveying the kind of thoughtfulness and care that technology can’t replicate. That handwriting alone is enough to reassure many of us that the mind behind it was attentive, deliberate, and deeply committed.
Now, to the pharmacology.
Kalyanaka Kashaya: A Masterclass in Polyherbal Neuropharmacology
Let’s start with Kalyanaka Kashaya, one of the most sophisticated polyherbal formulations from classical Ayurveda.
Mucuna pruriens, a primary ingredient, contains L-DOPA, the direct precursor to dopamine. If that rings a bell, it's because Levodopa, used in Parkinson’s disease today, is a pharmaceutical derivative of the same compound!
While it’s true that unmodulated dopamine can exacerbate mania, Kalyanaka Kashaya doesn’t act in isolation. It also contains Valeriana and Jatamansi, which act on GABA_A receptors, making them pharmacological cousins to benzodiazepines, but without the same risk of dependence!!
Triphala and other antioxidants in the formulation help counter oxidative stress, a condition strongly associated with mood dysregulation and bipolar episodes.
So, yes: doctors who use Levodopa should know that its original source was a legume revered in Ayurvedic psychiatry for centuries. @theliverdoc can sit down now.
Medhya Rasayana: Where Nootropics Meet Neuroendocrinology
The second formulation prescribed includes three powerhouse herbs:
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera): This is a GABA-mimetic, known to reduce cortisol and stabilize the HPA axis. Multiple randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have confirmed its efficacy as an anxiolytic, antidepressant, and anti-agitation agent (Chandrasekhar et al., 2012).
Shankhpushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis): This mild tranquilizer also enhances cognition by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase. It's particularly helpful in bipolar patients with executive dysfunction. It also has anti-seizure properties.
Jatamansi (Nardostachys jatamansi): Already discussed above, Jatamansi works on the GABAergic system and is sedative, neuroprotective, and anxiolytic.
Ayurvedic psychiatry doesn’t suppress symptoms—it balances systems. When @theliverdoc dismisses these therapies, he’s not just being disrespectful—he’s overlooking a system of care that has been studied, validated, and now, increasingly respected by pharmacologists around the world.
Gut–Brain Axis: Avipattikara Churna
The third medicine prescribed works on the gut-brain axis, an area modern neuroscience is just beginning to understand.
Bipolar disorder is linked to gut dysbiosis, particularly during manic episodes.
Herbs like Triphala, ginger, clove, and Haritaki reduce systemic inflammation and promote microbiome diversity.
Triphala in particular has been shown to lower serum cortisol and reduce inflammatory markers, aiding in both psychological and physiological balance.
Far from being random herbal mixes, these are targeted, layered interventions. They don’t just mimic Western pharmaceuticals; in many ways, they predate them.
A request to @theliverdoc . Do not block anyone. Be open to change!
