A religious educator.
l wanted a job where I could help people every day, so I became a teacher.
Rise by lifting others.
Even the rich are hungry for love
Choose love.
If not love, choose kindness.
If not kindness, choose compassion.
If not compassion, choose forgiveness.
If not forgiveness, choose gratitude.
If you're not in the mood for any of these today... remember there's always tomorrow.
Never stop trying
I choose to lead with love, humility courage, and compassion, because leadership without heart isn’t leadership. It’s just management with a microphone.
Who is becoming a leader because you showed up?
A rule only works when students know it means the same thing tomorrow, with a different student, and in a different situation.
The moment consequences depend on who broke the rule, students start paying attention to something else: who gets exceptions, who gets corrected, and how much the expectation actually matters.
Consistency doesn’t mean every situation gets the exact same response. Context matters.
But students should be able to trust that the standard itself isn’t changing based on who is standing in front of us.
That kind of predictability builds trust.
Do not brag about how busy your are, instead stay accessible.
Do not brag about who you know, instead be a generous connector.
Do not brag about how much you know, instead be a mentor and sponsor.
Do not brag about how much you make, instead give without expecting a get.
The problem is not people being uneducated.
The problem is that people are educated just enough to believe what they have been taught, and not educated enough to question anything from what they have been taught.
—Professor Richard Feynman
Words can lift up a person.
Words can connect people.
Words can inspire you to dare.
Words can create movements.
Words can show that you care.
Words can shape your culture.
Words can reveal your motives.
Words can make you laugh or cry.
Rermarkable people use impeccable words.
The Power of You
Heal the world
rather than divide it.
Heal the world
rather than destroy it.
Inhale love.
Exhale hate.
Heal the world,
and you will heal
yourself too.

In 1998 I graduated from Teachers College @yorkuniversity believing I had the power to make a difference in the world, 1 child at a time. 27 yrs later, still inspired by the starfish story and the power of 1 person, I wake up every day excited to make a difference and share a little #kindness with the world! #StarfishClub
Be unforgettable, but be unforgettable for the right reasons. Choose kindness over ego. Choose connection over status. Because at the end of the day, your impact is measured by the people you empower.
Doing what’s expected makes you dependable.
It doesn’t make you different.
If you do what everyone else does, you’ll achieve what everyone else achieves.
That’s called average.
To be more, more is required.
Average ends where extra begins.
