Most common skill I use day-to-day with LLMs is a summary technique I term 3-stepping.

I invoke it like this in both Claude & ChatGPT:

3step <link>

It outputs a 3-layered summary. Layer 1 is a one paragraph concise summary, Layer 2 is a two paragraph deeper overview of interesting details, Layer 3 is a three paragraph full analysis / critique.

I find it much more helpful than just an LLM to "summarize X." Most things I just read layer 1, but it allows me to decide how deep into any particular link I want to go. And if I get through all 3 layers and find it interesting enough, I'll read the original.
