@AdobeCare@AdobeAE, even with the keyboard shortcut editor, I can't seem to find a way to assign a shortcut to tracking the current mask forward/backward one frame. Is it right in front of me? Sorry if so. :)
@ChaosGroup Thanks for your lightning fast resolution, @ChaosGroup! Alexander on your support team helped ID the PATH variable needing an additional "/hostbin" even though it wasn't a zip install. Thanks again!
@ChaosGroup hi! getting this recent error in fully patched VRay and Maya 2020. Any ideas? Is there a Qt lib patch that needs to happen?
The current Qt version (5.12.5) does not match the expected version (5.12.9) ! As a precaution, the V-Ray Frame Buffer will be disabled.
I had this idea to create a walkcycle with a specific rule. The rule I set up for this animation was to have the whole character consist of just 1 continuous line and to never have the line overlap itself.

And...here's the error that is being thrown:
V-Ray error: Cannot send asset ... Error opening file: [PFileStream::Open] 2: (2) The system cannot find the file specified.
Hey @ChaosGroup! I've been getting this error and googling it has been inconclusive. I think I've discovered that VRay seems to be trying to send parts of an image sequence being used as a texture to render nodes (transfer missing assets enabled) based on the file name. (1/2)
"image.###.jpg", "image.##.jpg", etc., resulting in thrown errors on any image sequence being used to render. The sequence will still render, but with lots of thrown errors. Any ideas on how to fix it? Something I'm missing, or something else?
Using VRay 5.0.22 (hotfix 2)
For example, an image sequence is named: "image.#####.jpg". VRay seems to be trying to send images that aren't part of the sequence to the render nodes. Specifically, VRay is trying to send lower-digit counts to the nodes, for example, it tries "image.####.jpg", (2/3)
@physicsJ lots of physics tools would be available to you, as would natural 3D space (not 2.5D). Also, you'd be able to take advantage of modern day GPU benefits.
@physicsJ Ah, I see. Sadly, you're going to hit that computational wall with AE. As you said, it may be worth looking at how things can be done differently to save you time moving forward. I'd imagine a 3D app of choice paired with Unity would be ideal dev tools for you.
