being an introvert, im challenging myself to meet as many people as possible.

6 weeks ago a message hit my contra dashboard.
Oskar, co-founder at pogo. they had just raised $32M
i'd been looking for the right team to work with and the timing was perfect.
they were launching the world's first AI research platform. brands talking straight to purchase-verified consumers at scale.
challenge:
pogo was a playful consumer brand. colorful, fun, people liked it
but now they were walking into enterprise rooms
so the product had changed, the audience was going to change, and the brand hadn't caught up.
the brief was never "make it look serious." nobody said that.
it was more like, how do we grow up without losing the thing people already like about us.
which is where most rebrands fall apart honestly. they trade the personality for credibility, everything turns one color, and you end up looking like every other b2b company.
so we didn't open figma for a while.
we just argued. lol
what does this product actually do that nobody else does?
why do customers pick pogo?
what does this team want the brand to become?
where do we sit between the legacy players and the new guys
a lot of disagreement. healthy but a lot.
every design decision came after that. not before.
and we landed on something the whole team believed in. not just signed off on.
congrats to the Pogo team on the raise and the launch 🫡
