This is a neat connection. Both Fuyutsuki and Misato die on the bridge of one of the NHG ships with a photograph of a loved one nearby. Their final line is to said loved one.

@ArqaApocrypha It seems that the 3rd angel is connected to very experimental stuff. The mk. mark 4C units also have a very experimental nature.
So there is possibly an overlap in some way?

(1/2) Asuka activating Code 999!Eva-02 in Shin gives us a nice callback to Arael's attack in NGE#22. This time, the Angel's light is coming from the left eye of Asuka herself.

The pilot(s) of an Eva engage in a form of astral projection through the Eva's palm (OG Doors of Guf vibes) to spiritually manipulate a subject within a targeted vessel (core or plug), resulting in this juxtaposition. SDAT = Asuka's plug, eh? #evangelion #エヴァンゲリオン

3rd Angel lasers off all four of Eva-05's legs; Eva-13 blows off all four of Eva-02's hands. Eva-05 lunges for the 3rd's core; Eva-13 lunges for Eva-02's plug. An Eva opens its mouth dramatically.

Why are these situations being compared like this? Beats me.

I always had a weird feeling about how Shinji acts in 3+1 after he looks up with his eyes inexplicably glowing purple, since when this happens again is right before Yui reveals herself to him and he realizes she was "always inside me". ↓

@zkurishi You can try to please everyone... but in the end you don't please anyone when you attempt to do this. To focus on a specific target group might be the most important step if you're making content.

It would be cool to have a clear motivation to go across multiple areas in terms of gameplay. Like there is a special reward when you fight different monsters in a row and reach Suja. It could be like a journey or something.

I played some monster hunter wilds and think that the free exploration of the world is interesting. But there is a lot of potential. An option to choose low rank and to adjust the difficulty of the monsters could have been nice.

@tylerwetrusted @evangelionnbot There are actually people who are able to like a character regardless of their general reputation... even if this reputation is quite negative. I still have some trust in Hideaki Anno's (and Khara's) work and believe that they make good characters.

@EvangelionShots The name "Maria of Iscariot" and the scene of the Quickening Preview might be the most important hints that we got here. There is also the possibility that she works for IPEA and has a clear motivation to pilot eva which could be connected to redemption or something.

@EvangelionShots There is one big problem... They planned to reveal some aspects of her character in the movie after 2.0 (and before 3.0). Unfortunately they cancelled this movie and her development as a result. Her character in 2.0 is presented with the intention to show more after this movie.

@EvangelionShots I think that mari has a lot of potential regardless of her troublesome development. It's probably even important that Shinji didn't know her very well in the final scene because it represents his ability to accept new entities. However her mysterious nature is interesting.

@HedgehogFury @KitsyKitsune_VT @EvangelionShots Not that sure if i can agree here. She picked Shinji up in multiple important moments when he was in his worst moments. In 2.0 he refused to pilot Unit-01 and she was the reason that he saw the 10th angel. In 3.0 she ejected the entry plug after he lost Kaworu.
