This morning feels surreal. Tomorrow should be my daughter Jaime's 23rd birthday and I have been down because of that, then wake up to the news of the death of Lyndsey Graham. In the early days following Jaime's murder, I really wanted to work with Lyndsey on gun safety. In fact, many Democrats said that he was open to it. However, he quickly became full on MAGA and maybe the most vocal enabler of Trump. I remember when he started posting photos of himself carrying an AR 15. Bottom line, Lyndsey disappointed me and angered me regularly. Because of what happened to Jaime, I was a part of doing historic bipartisan work to reduce gun violence and that was working. Lyndsey did not vote for it. Sadly, and enable by Lyndsey, that is all getting undone now.

Jaime should be 23 tomorrow. Lyndsey should still be alive. I feel sad today for those who loved him. My hope was for him to be retired by @AnnieAndrewsMD, not this.
