I’ve seen a few airdrops and reward projects that had to manually check eligibility because they didn’t trust screenshots, which led to delays and a lot of back-and-forth. If Primus Labs’ zkTLS can solve this without forcing users to expose extra information, it would make things much easier for projects.

Chapter 12 - A Different Perspective

Pixie stood in front of the enormous mural.
He took out his pipe and studied the old wall.
Cracked paint. Twisting branches. Tiny flowers growing at the foot of the tree.
His gaze settled on the empty chair beneath it.

Perhaps someone had once sat there.
Someone who had left.
Or someone who was still expected to arrive.

Pixie couldn't explain why, but that empty chair made him feel a little sad.

Two men passing by slowed down to take a look at the mural.

First Man: You know, this painting has a rather sad feeling to it.
His friend stared at the chair.
Second Man: Yeah. That empty chair makes you feel like someone's missing.

They continued on their way.

Pixie looked at the chair again, and now he understood what they meant.

A moment later, a little girl passed by with her mother.

The girl stopped and excitedly pointed at the tree.
Girl: Mom! Do you think birds sleep in this tree at night?
Her mother smiled.
Girl: There must be lots of little homes up there!

Still gazing at the branches, the girl continued walking.

Pixie took a few steps backward to see the entire mural.

Thud!

He bumped into a table set up on the sidewalk.
A few chairs rattled and clattered.
A dog wearing a simple apron, like those worn by café owners, came out through the door.

Cafe Owner: Whoa! Are you okay?

Pixie straightened his coat.
Pixie: I'm perfectly fine. Seems I was paying more attention to the wall than to the world around me.

Cafe Owner: You’re not the first. People keep bumping into my tables while looking at that mural.

Pixie's ears perked up.

Perhaps this man knew something worth investigating.

Chapter 11 - What Remains

Maybe once a work is created, it no longer remains only in the hands of its creator.

Pixie kept walking.

He thought about Milo’s version of VELA.

It was different.
It was new.
And yet, something from the original VELA was still there.

Maybe that was the strange part about Fan Art.

You can take something that already exists and create something genuinely new from it. Your ideas, your style, your choices - all of them can become part of that new work.

Some of these creations may even become works of their own, built from something that already existed.

But creating something new does not erase where it came from.

A new work can carry something from an older one without becoming the older one.

Perhaps that was the line Pixie had been looking for.

Not every new creation is simply a copy.
And not every new creation becomes completely separate from what inspired it.

Sometimes, both things can be true.

Pixie looked up.

He realized he had been walking without paying attention to where the road had taken him.

Part 12: The Choice

Pixie returned to the Stake section.

He looked through the list of projects. This time, he wasn't just looking for the reward rate. He wanted to understand what impact his choice would have.

With dApp Staking, he could stake his ASTR on a project to support it and, in return, earn staking rewards.

But the projects were also competing for a share of the rewards.

The system had room for up to 16 projects to qualify for rewards: six slots in Tier 2 and ten in Tier 3.

Of the dApp reward pool, 70% was allocated to Tier 2 and 30% to Tier 3. A project's rank within its tier also affected its share of the rewards.

Pixie noticed something even more important: his choice of project wouldn't change his own reward rate. All stakers had the same reward rate, determined by the network's overall participation. However, if a project failed to meet the required threshold, it wouldn't receive project-level rewards.

So his choice wasn't just about his own rewards. He was deciding which builders in the ecosystem to support.

After reviewing the projects, he made his choice and staked his ASTR.

Part 11: The Bridge Back

Pixie picked up his phone and dialed a familiar number.

- Pandachain?

- Pixie! Finally! I was wondering when I'd hear from you. What's up, buddy?

Pixie:
I'm good. I just need a little ASTR.

Pandachain:
Still running short on something for your adventures?

Pixie:
Don't blame this one on me!

Pandachain:
Alright, alright! I'll send it to the same wallet address you previously connected to @kyofinance
Of course, whenever you need it, you can also get ASTR through Kyo using Swap or Bridge.

Pixie:
Thanks, buddy. I'll remember that.

Before ending the call, Pandachain said:
By the way, Pixie, don't forget. We're meeting the guys at Sip Haven on Sunday.

Pixie nodded:

The call ended.

A little later, the ASTR had arrived in Pixie's wallet, but it was still on @soneium

He then opened Bridge, and a few moments later, the ASTR was transferred to the Astar Network.

Pixie breathed a sigh of relief and returned to the Stake section.

This time, he had everything he needed.
