“And that’s a real common story among roller derby people: Something happened, and I needed something new, and I found this,” said Amy Spears, who will join Samantha Tucker in conversation at @TwoDollarHQ tonight.

Hey #derbytwitter, if you need some reading material early next year, @samtucker_i and I wrote a book. And our butts are on the front. https://t.co/YnzUzRm4x0
@thequeengeek I’m also lucky in that since I work for a university I get to take classes for free, so I’m playing in the non-major orchestra. And I am taking lessons online from a teacher I found on YouTube. There’s lots of adult returnee stuff on YT!
@thequeengeek I started about a year ago after a break of *23 years*. Played seriously through college then, but developed RSIs in my hands and quit. Fingers came back absolutely no problem (except for some stiffness, usually the day after derby practice.) My face hurt for a while though. 😃
@alexhanna@akbarjenkins I’m in Columbus, and find this branding super weird, but I think it’s 100% about the intel chip plant they just broke ground on .
@caseyjohnston With nothing new on the main ? I am compelled to offer this tidbit. I worked at a theater when BJM came out & the swag the studio sent was unparalleled: Hello my name is JM name tags, masks of JM’s face, and my fave: nesting dolls of the characters. Have it all still somewhere.
@HardKoreLena I have been working on genealogy for a number of years and I am almost *angry* at the family that had 15 kids about 4 generations back because I’ll think I’m finally figuring out one of the mysteries I’m working on and then I end right back up with those two again. 🤦🏻♀️
@EricaIsBusy I have been on a personal mission to figure out what is wrong in our work fridge because it’s the *freezer* that smells and I cannot figure it out. It’s boggling.
I mean really, it's just a comment on how I follow folks on social media, and how that shifted so much over the pandemic, but I am still REALLY amused.
