i have just received a new response from @discord after asking for a follow up yesterday. however this message seems to be even more confusing then their previous responses. for transparency i have attached it below with my reply.

discord now allege that the csv file i provided them did not accurately reflect the Applications associated with our platform. for clarity, the csv file i provided them was a mongoexport of our 'bots' collection filtering to only provide the bot_id. i then converted that JSON into a csv file as they requested the data in that format. this was provided instead of an 'online' application's list as they specifically asked for it after i asked for clarification on exactly what list they required (attached this message for transparency).

it seems clear now that Discord are just intent on giving us impossible tasks that we have no way to comply with. first it was to find a new way to host bots without tokens and now its any list we give them is not 'accurate'.

im assuming as we can not comply with their demands as they are impossible, they will then use this as justification to shut us down. they also strangely give us no deadline to provide an 'accurate' list or any details on what would make it more accurate so it seems they also know this is impossible.

I’ve never liked Tomtoise or Fabian, always arrogant, always dismissive. Now they’ve made us hostages of their drama, forcing users to appeal. The product is good, but the way they manipulate the community is not. I wouldn’t care if it shut down if I hadn’t invested years into it

Discord is Threatening to Shutdown BotGhost: The Enshittification of Discord.

Discord has given us a sudden ultimatum: change how our platform works by July 14 or face total shutdown.

They claim our use of bot tokens violates their policy, even though this is standard practice across platforms like MEE6, Replit, Dyno, Glitch, and more.

No alternative method exists. No roadmap. No real opportunity to comply.

This decision threatens:
-7.5 years of development
- Millions of hours of work from our team and community
- Over 3 million bots created
- 100M+ commands run
- Countless classrooms, servers, and communities

All of it is at risk due to vague rules and zero communication.

This is not just about BotGhost. It reflects a growing problem with Discord’s developer hostility and overall decline.
