I think that’s partly due to it being a cultural norm. In the white community, teens take their partners home in high school and families are guiding those relationships. Black teens are taught dating is a crime and are then expected to pull a spouse and kids out a hat
The other day I was watching a space documentary (can’t remember which one), and it said:
“When you’re lying on the grass on a clear night, looking at the sky, you may get a strange feeling… that you’re not actually looking up. You’re looking down. Beneath you is an endless abyss of empty space, and the only thing keeping you from falling into it is gravity holding you to the Earth.”
I’m telling you… I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO STOP THINKING ABOUT IT.
Had you ever heard that before?
Physical touch = Too horny
Acts of service = I’m not your mom
Receiving gifts = Feminine
Quality time = ✅ doesn’t require effort
Word of affirmation = why you need to hear that
You need boredom. A lot of it. Start by going on walks without music. No stimulation. No distractions of any kind. If you learn to sit with your own thoughts, for long enough, in time they will start serving you. You'll start having ideas once again. You'll start developing an extreme sense of clarity that will shift you into the next stage of your life. All by being bored, which is pretty insane.
