Why do some people assume that when a Black, Indigenous or Person of Colour is hired for a role, they are a “diversity hire”? I am tired of this racist trope. Let me educate you: they were hired because they are smart and competent.
@globeandmail "how do you explain that to little girls?" You explain the presumption of innocence and the fact that accused persons have a constitutional right to counsel. It's not that complicated.
Pape Chaudhury is hiring! We are looking for an associate with outstanding analytical/writing skills, a passion for advocacy, an interest in appeal work, and excellent people skills, to join our team of exceptional trial & appellate litigators. Please see ad for details.
Excited to announce that Shantona Chaudhury will be co-chairing @OsgoodePD's fabulous program "The Principle of Good Faith in Contracts" with Brandon Kain on September 23rd. Register here: https://t.co/BhK6oxsg2h
