@NoLayingUp I’d suggest mental health comes before looking “strong”. If that’s how Rory felt he needed to deal with this, particularly given he’s always normally stayed to chat, then why don’t we give him a pass. Sounds like he’s got a lot on in life at present.
@ShaneRyanHere Probably agree if you behave better about it or just turn the invite down. Although I think the volunteers should be paid first at all golf events even if it lowers prize money.
He missed the last Ryder Cup. His peers all left for LIV. He’s this year’s oldest competitor. And he delivered a dagger on Friday night.
I wrote about Friday’s final putt and about Justin Rose, Team Europe’s unlikeliest hero: https://t.co/Ik0k05n2rg
@GolfloverUK You may have an argument if people like Casey hadn’t missed a Ryder cup as he didn’t qualify as a European tour member. It’s always been Euro tour membership vs pga tour and not simply the best (again picks rather than ranking for teams). LIV players made a decision, that’s fine.
@BrettDwyer1@ShaneRyanHere Which will always be the case, but if people are aiming for 4hr 15, then slowing by 20 mins still keeps it away from 5hrs. Yes, courses are tough and they play for important earnings, but a skill in itself is to be able to execute under that time pressure.
@cpives2008 @histevegray@StefanWeidenba2@Martina And yet despite lower U.K. knife crime, it’s widely agreed in the U.K. that it needs to be lowered so policy was brought in to make certain knives illegal, greater police powers, more funds to raise awareness & prevention. Not perfect but better than US approach of do nothing.
“Prime Minister you are deemed to have known .. you are ultimately responsible”
If only David Pannick KC had watched Yes Prime Minister he could have saved the taxpayer £222k and Boris Johnson and the Privileges Committee a load of time. #lbc#C4News

@BBCBreaking Ridiculous reflection of the world that we’ve become when a fairly tame tweet from @GaryLineker can be news for the week and result in this sort of reaction from @BBC. Quite clearly doesn’t impact partiality of @BBCMOTD and we should encourage people to have a view on politics
@Don579 @fishahhh @Mike_kim714@GolfDigest@PGATOUR@LPGA MJL had really good season so not surprised so high in rankings but 25% better (100-125) than any pga pro over a season seems a lot. I dislike comparing the two tours as both are exceptional in own right, not comparing like for like and feels like we’re now diminishing great golf
@fishahhh @Mike_kim714@GolfDigest@PGATOUR@LPGA That’s the best I can find but it doesn’t go through how pga collate which I think is more with dedicated markers/stats person using gps as they run ahead to the ball typically before the player gets there https://t.co/z9aXUeEKUx
@fishahhh @Mike_kim714@GolfDigest@PGATOUR@LPGA Early days though for lpga so presume it will get refined and continue to improve but nice seeing more stats on their game.
@fishahhh @Mike_kim714@GolfDigest@PGATOUR@LPGA I think it’s reference to lower budget so caddies complete a card to collate the data as they go round so it’s subject to their judgement I presume on the green, whereas pga employ people to collate the data specifically. Just taken off twitter though so may not be reliable!
@JGGolfFitness Not sure & agree he’d get nowhere near consistency & low scoring of top lpga in particular. Just don’t think there is huge difference when Fish is top 1% of all golfers. Bit like Knox beating Rory & others at Augusta. One off possible, week in no way, & definitely not a 20 hcp 😂
