Really been pushing Alexander to make sure we've got a living, breathing, retro-futuristic (but sometimes seedy) world for NB RPG. That means a lot of flying cars.

Our unannounced retro futurist isometric CRPG is a passion project between CEO @DaveOshry, Project Van Buren's @lacko_adam and god tier artist for Fallout Sonora and Olympus 2207, Alexander Berezin.
Fallout and Wasteland composer Mark Morgan is also attached to the project.
”Regardless of how nationalist the nation-state may present itself, to the same extent, it serves the capitalist processes of exploitation.
...
Thus, the nation-state is not with the common people – it is an enemy of the people.”
– Abdullah Öcalan
“[The nation-state] is the national governor of the worldwide capitalist system, a vassal of capitalist modernity which is more deeply entangled in the dominant structures of capital than we tend to assume: it is a colony for capital.”
– Abdullah Öcalan
This doesn’t *have* to happen, of course.
We could all give up and assume the worst of everyone and everything, worrying ourselves sick over countless things that are outside of our direct control on our way out.
But we’d sure like freedom, and will fight for it, starting here.
Beyond charity relief efforts and words of solidarity, *maybe* we can have something *lasting* to “bring to the table” for the people of Palestine and beyond…
Because we have first learned how to “feed” (and free) ourselves.
If enough of us manage to create material infrastructure for collective security, and cultivate a culture of *direct democracy* with wider political infrastructure, then maybe — just maybe — we can be of greater help to those beyond our immediate territories as systems collapse.
You and those around you (who you trust):
• Articulating your shared values.
• Pooling knowledge and resources together.
• Carving out space and infrastructure for cooperative and communal living (for yourselves).
• Connecting to others doing (or trying to do) the same.
To help those suffering abroad in meaningful and long-term ways — in consistently sharing material resources and knowledge, and/or consistently and militantly defending civilians left vulnerable by nation-states — it perhaps starts with a few things for most of us, here and now…
These things (along with electoral campaigns and new legislation) are also not going to stop the oncoming collapse of various systems around food production, power infrastructure, government, and more in the coming years (nor the global rise of fascism).
Protests in the streets, riots, appeals to international human rights organizations, and appeals to the U.N. are not going to stop what the State of Israel and the ruling classes of other nation-states around the planet are doing to oppressed people.
You don’t need a “mass organization” to do this.
At all.
And the notion of “taking care of yourself so that you can help others” scales up to the level of community too.
So what are we really saying here?
But the reality is, we — those somewhat aware, and who push for freedom — are “the masses” too, and are therefore better served in directly linking our individual survival needs and desires with the survival needs and desires of those already in our lives and/or around us.
Speaking of people, communities, and opportunities around us…
Some mentally separate themselves from “the masses” and relate to those in more unfortunate circumstances (or less informed) from a mentally distanced place of “service.”
More on that below.

It allows us to take the first step of accepting reality so that we can then shake ourselves out of the anxiety and stupor of learned helplessness, and begin to focus in on what we are more likely to touch: the people, communities, and opportunities directly around us.
Zooming out and acknowledging that, whether we like it or not, the purveyors of oppression and fascism are destroying lives all across the globe, and that we (as individuals) cannot possibly make it all stop in the short term, is not the same as agreeing with the circumstances.
