I may never enjoy sex because a pill that millions take has left me with completely numb genitals. By the time I learned about this devastating side effect, it was too late... and others aren't being warned https://t.co/t7CiaZuC9b
When it comes to chronic illness, people love to say, “Everyone is dealing with something.”
Sure.
But not everyone has to prove what they’re dealing with to doctors, employers, insurance companies, relatives and strangers before they’re believed.
Werde nächsten Monat 40. Kann mich noch gut an meinen 30. erinnern: ca. 40 FreundInnen in einem Garten, bunte Lichter, Traummann gerade gefunden, Traumjob an der Uni, freiestes Leben, Philosophie, Urlaube, Wandern, Kultur, Kneipen. Heute: bettlägerig, nichts mehr übrig. #mecfs
A hypothesis for SRI "protracted withdrawal" (I've advocated for the term SRI-induced neurological dysfunction #SIND as it can't be understood as a traditional withdrawal syndrome), integrating animal study findings & clinical observations (including the puzzle of tardive onsets)
Want to fuck up your kids nervous system leading to future addiction and mental health problems because you can't control yourself from being treated the same way as a child?...keep yelling at them and spanking them!
Could you imagine screaming at or spanking a coworker or someone in public because they made a mistake? Somehow we have accepted and normalized doing this to children as a way to teach them right from wrong.
You aren't creating a disciplined well behaved child. You are creating a child run by fear and punishment.
Let's stop calling it "spanking" too.
You are straight up hitting a child. That teaches a child to get what they want from others is by physical control.
It's not your fault this may have been how you were raised, but it is your responsibility to see it and change it.
Heal your own inner child wounds before they get passed on.
The government’s bid to terminate the pregnancy of a teen girl under its care has remained shrouded in secrecy until now.

@madaomoshiroi Please stop calling serotonin a "happiness hormone". It's a neurotransmitter like any other. Big pharma pushed the lie that serotonin is a happiness hormone in order to sell SSRIs.
This really says something. I’ve had psych med injuries (“side effects”) that kept tormenting me for 20 years after I quit taking the drug. Many others for 10-15 years.
But you can clear heroin in 2 weeks?
There are no words to describe the abomination that is psychiatry.
ME “is as serious as AIDS, cancer, multiple sclerosis. You feel as ill as those people do, but neglected a lot by friends and family because they don’t realise how sick you really are.”

Somebody please explain this:
Doctor doesn't provide informed consent.
Patient says yes because they don't know about the risk and trusts their doctor knows best.
Something goes wrong.
The doctor says "well, you agreed to take it"
Legal system says "you can't prove you would have said no if you had been told about the risk"
But I *wasn't* told. The proof doesn't exist because this conversation didn't happen when it should have.
So how can I say no to something I'm not told about in the first place?
If informed consent wasn't given, why isn't the failure to provide it enough to be held accountable?

A former FDA safety official confirms a critical risk many have known for decades:
Antidepressants can increase suicidality in younger patients — often through akathisia and agitation.
The reality is that this risk isn't limited to people ages 25 and under
We need better warnings, prescriber education, and true informed consent about real risks vs possible benefits. @woodymatters

There are only two people that should be judged for someone that commits suicide from Akathisia, and it's not the patient.
The prescribing physician and the manufacturers of the neurotoxic drug and or drugs.
The patient is innocent in all cases. If the drugs were never given, the patient would have never taken their life. It's not the patients fault. Suicide is a biologically chemically induced side effect, not a character or moral issue.
Pointing fingers at a patient for committing involuntary suicide would be considered gaslighting to the patient and illogical.
