@hell_line0 Lol... That's all we heard about when it happened even though most sports fans in the US didn't care about soccer, so... That is blatantly false.
@GoodD321@BrownMrke@ToriatheistTori He actually got into WW2, which created the need for production, and then screwed up the currency creating inflation... But... Go on.
@Hfjekwkdn@OldHollowTree Let me explain this to you simply. If I could choose to pay no taxes, I would. It isn't consensual. This isn't difficult. I ,however, at least can see that taxes pay for roads that I use... but I do not donate voluntarily to pay for them. It's theft.
@Yehoshua441@collin_ruth89 Not sure we can call them superior in every situation. Still hard to justify in rural areas and in colder regions. And they aren't necessarily "greener" when the power to charge them comes from fossil fuels.
@collin_ruth89 Probably because it adds substantial cost to the vehicle. I like the idea as well (great way to save fuel), but have never spent the upfront money to have it.
@MorphingReality@ColterOwen@OldHollowTree I could agree with some of that... But I'd like to know a country or a time in history when this wasn't at least mostly true. Citizens have always been subjected by a ruler.
@Hfjekwkdn@OldHollowTree Not really. Find me a country that has no tax. Can't think of one. And... I think you're not understanding. I accept some of the theft for the things I agree with like roads, military and police protection and others. I'm just saying that it's all theft. I'm ok with some.
@lmchankins@FreqRevolution SSI is... and was designed to be exactly this... A Ponzi scheme. If you don't understand this you're already starting from a distorted view of what it is.
