I’ve been overseeing some software development.

Conclusion is that AI speeds up all developers, but senior developers are sped up even more.

A junior dev with AI might be able to develop features faster than a senior dev without AI, but if they both use AI, the senior dev is *noticeably* faster.

This is especially pronounced when devs get stuck on things that aren’t documented. A senior dev knows how to rescue the AI from the hallucination doom loop, but a junior dev can get stuck.

This might not be the case if the app is purely built from something like React, but throw in a few weird undocumented things and the difference is pronounced.

(I’m obviously speaking about senior/junior in the abstract sense here).

They claim to have ran a quantum computation in 5 minutes that would take a normal computer 10^25 years.
