@Ouren Unless you are a Ranger pulling (sorry, {Fishing}) raptors in the Valley of Sorrows and getting chunks of your ass bit out with every mob. Then it's a horror-RPG.
@Ouren I doubt this is specifically Unity as dozens to hundreds of games using it release on the Nintendo e-shop per month without weird FPS cap issues. Somehow this issue slipped past House House's QA; it seems more indicative of their processes than the engine.
@TitaniumLegman On one hand, with planeswalking being a theme since the start of the game, I'm hypothetically okay with what they're doing.
On the other, much more wise, hand, this is just ugly unrestrained capitalism doing its work.
I quit after 7th edition.
@FFVIINovels In many ways I think the Latin alphabet is not compatible with Celtic languages, as I struggle with Irish (and Scots-Gaelic). Wish it were easier... but then again, English is not an easy language to master, either.
You live on cursed islands, my friend.
@Look_behindyou It is the final stretch for Wicked Night - Holy Knight's campaign!
If you like classic Fire Emblem, this game is for YOU!
Happy #TurnBasedThursday, everyone!

Quoting this for those who need it. The intersection of Unicode and Unity on this particular issue sucks. You can't just set a CJK font as a fallback font because it will detect the Japanese glyph (or Chinese glyph) as "valid" and then assign it to the wrong language. No bueno.
Important point for (especially indie) game devs looking to localise their games into Japanese:
Stylistic conventions for kanji differ between Chinese and Japanese fonts. Similar at first glance but native speakers can tell and it looks odd. Makes a localisation feel half-assed.
@Ouren Visual scripting is logic but it is not computer science. If you are letting designers and artists access the hot path of code (i.e. update calls) with visual scripting, they need basic computer science education. Otherwise, you get 15 FPS Unreal games.
@Ouren I genuinely think that education in O-notation (literally CS101) should be mandatory before opening visual scripting in Unreal, Unity, or elsewhere. If you do not understand the computational complexity of what you are doing, you don't get to do it.
@GameDadVII Western countries should have legislated the crap against F2P/microtransaction/gacha games 10 years ago but most all national/state governments are still dawdling. Sports betting is so commonplace now, too. Both are in need of massive legal correction.
@spiderwebsoft Besides WoW, Final Fantasy XI famously copped a lot of Everquest DNA in its early era (most certainly more than WoW, even down to de-leveling from death EXP loss). If I recall correctly, the team working on it was encouraged to play EQ together. Then quit it, to get to work.
