I grew up in a Muslim household.

I speak Arabic.

I understand the deen.

I will never denounce Islam.

But Muslims in America need to wake up.

This is not Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, or whatever Muslim-majority country you or your parents came from.

This is the United States of America.

A country built by a Christian people, under English common law, with Christian based forming documents that still protects your right to pray...

And everyone else’s right not to be drafted into your display.

We are a small minority here.

Act like it.

The Islamic backlash is not a mystery.

It’s self-inflicted.

Public prayer stunts in Times Square.

Loud dawah framed as “we’re taking over.”

Importing old-country politics.

Treating American norms as optional and then acting shocked when natives push back.

Most Americans will never say this out loud:

They don’t want the adhan blasted in public squares.

They don’t want a new mosque on every corner.

They don’t owe you their language.

They don’t want your relatives imported by default.

They don’t have to care that you’re fasting.

This doesn't mean you can't practice, fast, pray and, build a life.

Do it without turning the host country into a stage and then crying “Islamophobia” when people notice.

Ungrateful, performative Muslims don’t advance the religion.

They hand critics footage and make the rest of us look like idiots.

Stop giving them the ammo.

If you want to be performative, go to the UAE, Saudi, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, or any of the other beautiful countries in the middle east.

Many are clean, safe, and there are no ghetto black people.

Assimilate or go there.

Someone in General Population stabbed another inmate and was dragged to the SHU punishment unit and put in the cell next door to me.

No commissary, No television, No phone calls, No pillow. Guantanamo Bay conditions.

He screamed all day, and banged the door all night begging to go back to General Population.

After 7 days, his punishment was complete for STABBING SOMEONE and released back to GP.

I have been in the SHU unit for 51 days and counting. Not 7 days, 51 days.

I have no criminal case in America, have been respectful to every guard. The warden said the order to keep me in SHU “comes from above”

I gather my Chi, I sit in lotus position in the dark for 8 hours gathering my powers.

I can survive.

But the question is -

I’m an American Citizen with no criminal accusations in this country.

I’m being accused of a MeToo from 15 years ago in England, a country which clearly hates me.

I have a code: stand by your friends when shit gets real, not when everything is good.

The Tate brothers have been held for several weeks in inhumane incarceration despite not committing any crime in the US. That ends now.

On August 13 at 11 AM in Miami, FL, Fresh&Fit will be leading a massive peaceful protest outside the courthouse demanding the Tates be released on bond.

While we rally outside, at 1 PM Joe McBride (@McBrideLawNYC) will be inside the courtroom litigating for their release on bond.

U.S. citizens who haven’t committed a crime in the United States should not be locked in the SHU 23 hours a day at the extradition request of a corrupt British government.

Under Bell v. Wolfish, pretrial and extradition detainees cannot be punished.

Prolonged solitary that isn’t tied to a legitimate security need is unconstitutional.

They need to be out on bond so they can properly mount a defense.

If the Tates or I ever helped you through a dark period, now it’s our duty to repay the favor while the Tates are in theirs.
