I wanted to learn to trade but had no idea how to start so I asked Google, โwhatโs the easiest trading strategy for a dumbass?โ
Google said follow the trend and enter on pullbacks. I already knew this but I wanted it to be more complicated.
Turns out, itโs not.
So I looked into trend trading and found a strategy that was easy to understand but kind of hard to nail down in practice.
Itโs actually a frankenstein abomination of several strategies, but all momentum strats lead to the same thing.
Iโve also subbed to a couple of accounts. Good people, good strats.
Two months and 200+ trades later I have a 46% win rate, yet my account is green. I use very tight stops and for now, especially with this difficult market, Iโm day trading only.
The large number of trades is because I wanted to immerse myself in real trades to better learn what Iโm doing. There is no consequence in paper trading. To paraphrase Bukowski, I like to scream when I burn.
If I lose a trade, I donโt look back. That seems hard for a lot of people. I have tickers that I go back to... I like they way they move or I had success with them, but usually I move on to the next one. F*ck $TEM, btw.
The trades I post is my form of a journal, as an act of accountability.
Anyway, donโt follow my trades. I have no idea what Iโm doing. Thank you for reading.
