NKOKO NKITITI PROJECT
- Unfortunately, some of the beneficiaries have consumed the birds, and they are sending me videos - Agric Minister tells Assurance Committee
"The educated man should be so sensitive to the conditions around him that he makes it his chief endeavour to improve those conditions for the good of all."
Yep. This is the real body showing its real face.
Imagine this is their reaction to a random audio that's gone viral.
Now, imagine how they have legally gone after journalists who have said things that they have been unable to prove, over the past couple of years — some of those things we KNOW are true, but couldnt get the affected persons or documents to come forward to corroborate.
Should we give you names of respected sports journos/pundits who dont bother doing that hard stuff anymore because of these suits? A few: Nabila. Songo. Julian. Atta Poku. And others.
You people want which sports journalists to speak to power? The majority of sports journos who are being paid GHS 5k a month, or less? Note: people like me, Akoto, Obama, BKB, Ayala, Fent, Rahman and a few others you know are not among the majority — our lifestyles are anot the norm at all.
The President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana was here in the USA on the ticket of this same body. Yes, he is an incorruptible man, but how do you expect the up and coming sports journalist in a small station in Nkroful or JamesTown to have the courage to speak up with such optics?
You want the journalists whose media houses dont even have lawyers for normal cases, let alone defamation suits, you won't them to "speak truth to power"?
The same sports journos who suddenly have strange cars and motorbikes following them when they do "hot" programs? Strange phone calls speaking strange languages to them at strange hours?
Or @Chiefseiduadamu, who was OPENLY assaulted at a gathering by a bodyguard affiliated to this body, with witnesses present, and nothing came of it?
Or the ones, like me, whose ENTIRE stations got blacklisted from covering Ghana Premier League matches (when everyone else is given permission to do so, thereby denying us of important revenue) — simply because I did a video that criticised the GFA boss for working to go for a third term? Video here: https://t.co/jjdlMbZ6Ff
Because of the above video, my ENTIRE station has not been given accreditation to cover Black Stars matches by the GFA for almost a year now — and we have had to get accredited through third parties.
Read that again.
Are these the sports journalists whose lives, families and livelihoods are at stake that you expect to speak truth to power for you?
A whole @anasglobal — one of the greatest investigative journos in our country's history — was brought to his proverbial knees after investigating the GFA. His assistant was MURDERED. It didnt happen on Mars; it happened at Madina, in Accra, in Ghana.
You people — all of you — are not serious. Maybe some of you dont know this, so I'll forgive you.
But those of you who know this, and still expect us to work normally in such hostile conditions — you are all mad. Moabobɔ dam.
Properly empower journalists. And watch us do magic. Otherwise, dont waste our fucking time.
Have a good day.
In Ghana, many Ministries and Agencies have long struggled to get their budgets disbursed on time. See the table attached. There are some agencies where disbursement of key budget items don't even happen at all during the financial year/budget cycle. Yes, zero.
What seems to have changed in recent times is how the Finance Ministry is being super strict about how Ministers and Agency Bosses justify each & every line item. Word on the street is that Big Bosses are tired and fuming about chasing and queuing.
Which makes me wonder if our friend, the Presidential Coordinator of Prophecies is also chasing any disbursements. 🤔
Judges are paid to serve the state.
Lawyers receive a client's money to diligently and expeditiously pursue their cases.
However, in Ghana, where cases are delayed for years, the Chief Justice is able to excuse all lawyers from appearing in court for an entire day simply because a so-called lawyer’s association has a conference and a CPD program?
I wonder who gave the Chief Justice these powers? Definitely not the 1992 Constitution.
And I wonder why CPD cannot be done on weekends or virtually, or on such repeated occasions, for lawyers to participate in their free time.
So much absurdity has been normalized in Ghana.
What actually happens to a footballer's marriage
when the career ends?
Because over 33% of professional footballers
divorce within one year of retirement and the
reasons are messier, more human and more
complicated than anyone admits publicly.
In this episode of Tell It Straight I went through
the cases nobody tells properly.
Odartey Lamptey, raised 3 children for 20 years,
none biologically his.
Ryan Giggs, 8-year affair, his brother's wife,
£40 million divorce settlement.
Asamoah Gyan, denied his own children in court.
DNA confirmed they were his all along.
Ray Parlour, ex-wife awarded his future earnings.
Not what he had. What he was going to make.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to share this new era with you. Which series are you most excited to watch?

Oh you mean the 35 year old journeyman who has only scored more than 9 goals in a season only once in his whole career; who has been relegated 6 times in 12 years, and whose most recent club just got relegated to the 3rd division (and promptly released him as a free agent), wasn't qualified to captain and lead the line for one of Africa's most important world cup teams?
You mean his surname shouldn't have given him an automatic starting spot and >70 mins guaranteed playing time in every game, keeping better players on the bench for no reason? You mean after he was taken off and the player that replaced him gave Ghana its only win at the tournament, that player shouldn't have been rewarded by being padlocked to the bench for the rest of the tournament even when Ghana desperately needed a goal?
You don't say.
Eventually someone will break this bullshit conspiracy of silence one day, and they will tell the true story of what the hell the Ayew family has over the GFA that keeps getting Jordan and Andre picked 5 years after they should have voluntarily retired from international football if they had any honour and self respect.

Here’s a short video showing how people have over the years encroached on wetlands and streams that would have contained huge volumes of water during floods.
GARID Project Coordinator, Kwadwo Ohene Sarfoh during a news conference by the Flood Mitigation Taskforce explained how solid waste is imported to fill these basins so people would eventually build on them.

“It is extremely difficult to make money from hostels in Ghana.”
—A hostel owner laments that many hostel operators are unable to break even, with some properties even being taken over by banks.
He made the comments on the sidelines of an engagement with the Rent Control Department.

You’ve been President of Ghana for 7 out of the last 14 years.
That means you’ve been President for almost every other rainy season since 2012.
You were President during the June 3rd floods that claimed over 150 lives.
How have you still not figured out a solution?
